Not In Puchong (Because I'm Lazy 😅😅😅)
Meaty portobello stuffed with cheese @ RM17.90.
This is my 1st visit to Anne Elizabeth and the meal here doesn't disappoint. Ordering process is very unique because there is no menu on the table. You choose the protein you want from the counter and the kitchen will do the rest. There are other dishes written on the wall behind the counter if you wanted to order pasta, salad or soup. Staffs were very friendly, passionate and patient. We order salad, portobello, salmon, iberico pork and 2 sausages. Including drinks the total damage was RM166.50.
Black garlic soup ramen with spicy coriander grilled pork. Total damage for this ramen alone is RM 41.00. This little porky is fatty and very tender. I can almost cut the pork using only chopsticks and it is a combination of salty, sweet and spicy. Overall taste is very good. Do come early as there will always be a queue.
Appom with coconut shred and brown sugar @ RM2.00. Crispy side with a custardy center. The appom is not too sweet with a hint of sour. Each appom is made to order, so it is still warm when it's being served to you.
I order 3 item from their menu:
1. Extra cheese naan (RM8.90)
2. Keema aka mincemeat (RM 10.60 - Top right of pic)
3. Channa aka chickpea (RM 4.30 - Top left of pic)
The naan is extra cheesy and somewhat fluffy on the inside but the taste of the cheese was quite mild.
As for the keema and channa, both taste good and you'll get a hint of spiciness that let you know they're there and it'll warm your belly.
I will say the Keema or Channa compliment each other with the Naan as their taste didn't over power the plain taste of the Naan. Everything is serve hot to your table but price wise...... you be the judge.
After seeing omurice on Youtube countless times, finally head to Omulab to try it out. The place was cozy and you can cut open your own erm... omuegg???
Anyway, the inside of the egg is still a bit runny and there bits of egg chunk within the egg. Price wise the Omurice range from RM 20~23. I ordered their Master Demiglace and it cost RM 20.50. Taste was very good. Definitely will come again to try other stuffs from their menu especially the burger patty add on. 😁😁😁
P.S. Do come early as seats are limited and there tend to be a queue during the weekend.
Finally, I've catched up with the nasi lemak craze before 2017 ends. Had my nasi lemak fix at Nasi Lemak Bumbung after months of "we should go there and give it a try". Too bad it was raining that day, otherwise we can dine under the stars between the back lane of shoplots near the errr "bushes?".
Ordered their nasi lemak ayam, Indomee ayam (both with telur mata of course), chicken chop and 2 limau ice (total damage is around RM 26. I'm not sure as I got someone to belanja me today. 😅😅😅). The ayam was full of spices and taste on the peppery side but in a good way.
While you can see they fry loads (and I mean LOADS) of chicken almost non stop. Yet. Their ayam is still very juicy and tender and and that come from a chicken breast unlike the tree bark thing that we get from some restaurants (you know who you are).
Overall, this is my kind of place to come to makan. I mean, c'mon, how many more places you can get comfort food under the stars nowadays.
Sudo Brew offers all day breakfast and open from 10am until 4am. The interior of the cafe is on the small-ish side but is quite cozy and quiet. Seats is a bit limited here, so coming in large group (say 10 people) might be a bit of a challenge to finding seats to occupy all of your buddies' butt around the same table.
What I liked here though is their table for one person (There's 3 such table inside their cafe). You can be in your own little cafe world, sipping your coffee and working on your lappy or homework.
The food here is great and you get a free beverage for every RM25 you ordered from their food menu. We ordered a breakfast set (RM 32) and pasta (RM 24) and our drinks (Latte and Americano) is free. I think that's a steal, don't you think?
Side note: Busy eating, sipping coffee and talking (like what people did before smartphone and lappy is a thing), so I know zip on the wifi they provide here. 😅😅😅
According to many foodies, this is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Jalan Ipoh. Their Yau Cham Wan Yu (pic) is a must try here. It's crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and after about 10~15 sitting in it's sauce, it's still crunchy. Ordered their 油浸鯇魚, 鹹魚花腩煲 and 上湯元菜 for 2 persons and it cost us slightly over RM 100 (including 3 rice and 1 pot of Chinese tea). And they give you free dessert too. We get jelly on our visit.
Caution though, their food tend to be on the sweet-ish side.
