Battleship

They gave us this really refreshing dessert at the end of our meal. Sourish sweet and icy cold, it was so welcomed after a somewhat greasy meal. I was filled to bursting and I still finished 3/4 of the little jug. My stomach’s expansion skills never cease to amaze me.

Bill came to $147.71 for 2 of us. Yes we over ordered again but I still feel it was quite expensive.

The chicken thigh meat was cut thick and very tender. Sliced pork belly had a good fat meat ratio. I loved the spicy pork. Delicious even on its own without adding sauce. I didn’t like the beef. Very tough and not as marbled as other places.

Also got the paste set that featured a set of 3 kinds of pastes. The prawn one was the best. Came with salmon roe. Quite a good deal that set. Another good one was the dumpling set. I really enjoyed the prawn dumpling.

Got a good variety of sauces available, thou needed to pay a fixed fee. There was a strange green one that we didn’t dare to challenge. I think it was Chinese parsley or sthg like that. Somebody pls try it and tell me if it’s nice.

Reservations was a breeze and service was great. Wanted a bit of spice yet must try their signature soup, so I got the spicy nourishing broth and beauty collagen broth. Both used the same soup base, so they prepared 4 bottles by our table for us to add at our leisure.

Spicy nourishing broth used pork bones and was spicy indeed. A bit like Mala. I immersed the fried bean curd skin inside and it soaked up lots of broth, spicy enough to make me cough. Very nice if you are a Mala fan.

Beauty collagen broth was really thick. Thick enough that it wasn’t comfortable to drink. Gotta dilute first. Very rich. Just a few sips filled me up at the end of the meal. I made myself drink more for the sake of my beauty but I think I just made myself fat instead.

I like their laksa soup base. The fried beancurd skin will absorb the soup and wow!!! Beef short ribs and prawn balls are my definite orders. Marinated chicken and pork, sliced toman fish and mushroom combo round up a very filling no-vege meal.
