My 1st time at Tong Xin Ru Yi Traditional Hot Pot for lunch yesterday after reading good reviews online. Environment is homely and gives a Taiwanese vibe. The sliced pork that we ordered are fresh and good quality and the same can be said for the vegetables as well. We had both the Mala and Golden chicken soup bases and both were wonderfully tasty, I prefer the Chicken soup over the Mala as I liked the wholesomeness of the chicken broth. Service is friendly and efficient but thier dipping sauce could be better. Definitely worth a return visit.

Our 1st time at this Danish bakery and we must say the varied array of tarts and small bakes here are a delightful sight to behold. We had the following which paired well with the iced latte and americano. Decor is warm and inviting, a great spot for afternoon tea.
1) Passionfruit Salted Caramel
2) Salted Caramel Brownie
3) Passionfruit Blueberry & Meringue

Amuse Desserts has a wide selection of pastries, cakes and tarts. We tried the Fraise Fromage, Yuzu Meringue Tart with both sweetness and tartness delicately balanced. Ambience wise is in a modern chic setting. Definitely worth a return visit.

Saw the good reviews here and thought of trying Quentin's and went there for a Saturday lunch (2 adults and 1 child). We ordered the following dishes
1. Chap Chye 2. Chicken Curry Debal 3. Dry Mee Siam
4. Permenta Fried Prawns
5. Luncheon Meat Stew(kids meal). We were utterly disappointed as our negative experience warrants me to give this restaurant my 1st bad rating. Definitely not worth a return patronage.

(Pros)
1. Restaurant was not crowded considering it was a Saturday lunch.
2. Permenta Fried Prawns was nicely done balanced finely with curry leaves.
3. Chap Chye was another saving grace as the vegetables were well cooked in the chap chye's broth which was flavourful.

(Cons)
1.Chicken Curry Debal was extremely underwhelming. Dish was served cold and the chicken tasted like it was cooked separately from the curry.
2. White rice was served cold.
3. Dry Mee Siam would have tasted good had it not been served cold.
4. Indian female service staff didn't smile the whole duration we were in the restaurant, not even a 'thank you' was uttered even after payment.

We tried their unique unicorn ice cream with their freshly made waffles and we must say that the ice cream is creamily good on its own but even better when paired with the waffles which are not overpoweringly sweet. Definitely a Must Try! 4 out of 5 stars for us.

Finally made my way to this much hyped Bak Chor Mee place which is mediocre at Best. Certainly not worth the 45 mins waiting time.

A place to get your old skool confectionary fixes. But be prepared to accept that the cakes are smaller than how they used to be from days of yore. Nevertheless the rum cake, 3 holes cookie, kopi are still worth our hard earned monies.

Ambience is cosy amidst a rustic peranakan setting. We had the sambal kankong, beef rendang, tahu telor, pandan leaf chicken which were all a delight to the eyes and palate. Definitely worth a return visit.

This here is a nice cosy Italian Restaurant right smack in the middle of East Coast Road. Their oven baked pizza beckons but as it was more than the 2 of us could handle therefore we settled for the pasta instead. The spaghetti al forno is marinara with a local twist which iis delectable with fresh prawn and scallops. Will return again with reinforcements for their popular pizza.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Les Amis and it was a lovely dinning experience. We had the 5 course dinner and the theme was autumn. This is one of the more impeccable fine dinning we've ever had but what made our dinning experience memorable was the excellent service rendered. Kudos to the service team for their passion to make a difference.

Had their grain bowl and I must say it's delightfully put together. Chose honey chicken, Quinoa, brocoli and honey mustard dressing. Healthy and yet filling. Can eat this everyday.
