Finally I can compare this to Burger King's. The panko patty was slightly better than BK's frozen one, but still lacked flavour. The onion was quite spicy and really jumped out.

The childhood favourite is back, after pining for it for years! Quite similar I'd say. Crispy skin is like a jacket, dripping, and abnormally meaty.

I couldn't stop thinking about their soft, moist chicken lol. Again very good. No need for their signature gravy. Although I ordered spicy this time, their non-spicy is equally good.

I was finally willing to step into Jollibee again because they launched a well-reviewed nasi lemak. Although it's decent, featuring good chilli and ikan bilis, the eventual star was chickenjoy, which didn't leave an impression on me all those years ago. It's so juicy and tender I rank it up there with Texas Chicken. Only the size was a mockery.

For some reason BK has a salmon burger same time as Mac's lol. I never buy double-patty burgers but no choice here. Unfortunately the fish patties were frozen and had little flavour. But I liked the corn-dust sourdough bun. I also topped up the caramelised onion and tartar sauce. Warning this is $9 so I was forced to get the set meal.

The melon ice cream was fine. It could be stronger, but it's acceptable. I don't think McDonald's described the cone, but it's possibly charcoal.

I had to try something that caused a stir overseas and boasts this way. Great example of how the attention to a burger should not be only the patty. Although the fried chicken was fine, the magic of this burger was how individual parts came together. The buttered bun was underestimated, the spicy Cajun sauce boosted it without stealing the show, while the semi-pickled cucumber balanced the umami. Delightful.

They must be the first fast-food chain to adapt the pasar malam favourite deep-fried mushrooms. Although it's a brilliant idea, it was too salty. The tenders were totally tasteless, to the extent I wondered if somebody screwed up.

My first Subway wrap! Get it if you want something light. Wraps are so enjoyable. The tuna however was very tuna, if that makes sense, and got jelak quickly.

With sides curly fries and onion rings. I don't remember Chic-a-boo being such big portion. What's unique about their chicken are the crumbly batter and halal-style (it is halal) saltiness. The fish was quite wonderful too, with thick flesh and a good jacket, albeit minimal flavour.

If not for the slightly undercooked centre, this would be the perfect fried chicken burger at this price point. Patty was thick and juicy. Bun was actually enjoyable. The sauce is apparently buttermilk (?) although it had a nutty note. Heads up there's a very raw slice of tomato, if it matters to you.

Tried more food than this account shows. Not known for naggy, deep reviews. Just the truth.
