Love For Thai
Noodle Thai Thai Kitchen sets the stage for simple yet unique flavours of northern Thailand.
.
Clams with Jade noodles ($12) - an amalgamation of basil, garlic, fish sauce and oyster sauce with “lala” tossed with green spinach noodles with a texture similar to wanton noodles. Moist, fragrant and simple, it’s a unique dish that is spicy yet not overpowering.
.
Dry Pork ($10) - stir-fried and with a honeyed sweetness, dip the pork strips in the tangy hot chili sauce for a kick, and cool it down with raw cabbage. Worth a try while passing by! ;)

Fret not, because tucked away in a little corner of Far East Plaza is Kra Pow! Swelling with street flavours, this place is run by Thai's and packs a mean menu. (Swipe ➡️for visual sensation)
.
Their Dry Suki ($9.90) is a blend of the Japanese “sukiyaki” but in dry style with strong Thai elements. The fragrance from the lemon basil and fish sauce with strong heat from the chili bits delivers every bite with a flavour reminiscent of the streetside stalls of Bangkok.
.
The Drunkard Noodle Pork ($7.90) boasts a hefty shaoxing wine flavour (hence the name), lending a fragrant yet lingering sweetness to the dish. The minced pork is mildly peppered and the thick kway teow soaks up the flavours of the dish, tasty appetising and really makes you wanting more!
.
Crispy Thai Wings ($6.90) were not too bad, slightly smaller sized, but well seasoned and tender.
.
A good dessert is always the best way to end a meal! Red Ruby Green Emerald ($5.90) is Kra Pow’s specialty dessert. Finely blended ice with coconut milk is served with chestnuts in tapioca - similar to your common red ruby dessert at a hawker centre but what took the cut for us was the freshness of the coconut milk and the fineness of the ice. The fine ice melting in your mouth feels like the sweet finishing touches of a good cake, a refreshing way to end a spicy meal!
.
A definite must-visit if you’re in town!
