To experience a part of thailand, Golden Mile Complex is the way to go! At this eatery tucked away in the corner of the first floor, a variety of typical thai dishes can be spotted on the menu. We ordered tom yum soup in small ($10), pineapple fried rice ($6), green curry fried rice($6) and pad thai($5).
Although the dishes did not meet up to my expectations, I have to say they did taste pretty authentic. I realised that the more authentic rendations of thai tom yum are not really spicy and are sweeter just like this one. Taste aside, the portions were generous and the seafood was good too. It also seems like we missed out on the star of the restaurant - thai beef noodles! If we are in the area again maybe we could give this place another go. Otherwise, average food but still a wallet friendly place to stop by for a meal.
Probably the best of the four dishes served, the noodles were moist and retained a good chewy level. The lime also gave the dish an extra sour zing that was satisfying. I do wish the dish came with crushed nuts though, and the bean sprouts should have been stir fried with the noodles. Not the best pad thai around the island but not a bad dish either!
