Hawker (West)
As you may see, I am a fan of the five spice meat paste here in the fried ngoh hiang/meatball items. Also the brinjal, which comes (rather oily but tasty) in a large slice with meat. There’s a huge variety of healthy/unhealthy here and I am often spoilt for choice.
Get the dry, which comes with sweet sauce and the must get chilli. If you’re feeling healthy, the soybean soup is sweet and does fine too.
TLDR; this is great!!!
For $6 this came with a generous serving of seared mentaiko, yellow pickles, and some miso soup that managed to taste better than ordinary salt water-esque hawker miso soup. A substantial slice of salmon was served atop rice - both piping hot which made this so enjoyable to eat. Not restaurant standard but very delicious for $6!!! Will be back :-)
