Ah Seng (Hai Nam) Coffee in Amoy Street Food Centre was started by Mr Wong Lock Seng’s father in Lau Pa Sat in 1964. The Robusta coffee beans are ground in-house and their homemade kaya makes the French Toast and Kaya Toast super delicious.

Bukit Purmei Lor Mee has reopened in Bugis! You can expect the same thick gooey “lor” with fishcake, braised pork belly, char siew and ngoh hiang balls. https://hungryghost.sg/bukit-purmei-lor-mee/

Guan Heng Cooked Food’s Satay Bee Hoon wins me over with its thick and creamy peanut sauce that has just the right balance of spicy and sweetness. https://hungryghost.sg/guan-heng-cooked-food/

山东东记拉面小笼包 in Jurong East is a hawker stall in nondescript Fu Chan Food Paradise that sells some of the best and cheapest dumplings in Singapore. http://hungryghost.sg/shan-dong-dong-ji-la-mian-xiao-long/

Although this is in Chong Pang and it also sells nasi lemak, but this is not the famous Chong Pang nasi lemak.

I have not had enough fried bee hoon to say if this is the best fried bee hoon in Singapore but it is definitely my favorite.

Say Chiizu has recently opened a new outlet at Suntec City Mall, bringing its famous Hokkaido Cheese Toast to Suntec City shoppers.

I personally feel that the Hokkaido Cheese Toast is very stretchy as it promised, but there is not much difference in taste for the different flavors.

There is currently a promotion going on where you can try all the 6 flavors for $18.80.

Xiang Mei Roasted Meat is a gem of a stall at the back of Bukit Batok Bus Interchange. I personally feel that its roasted duck, soy chicken, char siew and roasted pork is every bit as good as those served in restaurants, for a fraction of the price.

This Michelin one-starred stall is opened by a retired Crystal Jade chef who has worked in Crystal Jade for 17 years. It was originally located in Sixth Avenue but it moved to its current location at Bukit Batok East Avenue 5 when the lease was up.

I am not a fan of the signature wontan mee which has a very strong lye taste, but I am totally in love with its Chicken Feet. Made using traditional Cantonese recipe, the chicken feet is steamed till it is fall-off-the bone tender with spicy kick that you don’t find elsewhere.
