It came packed with lots of crab meat and smoked duck meat plus an oozing onsen egg! It was slightly spicy though from the red chillis. We tried the b&b french toast as well (came with turkey ham, caramelized banana and vanilla ice cream). We didn't quite like this dish because it was overly sweet for us. French toast was coated in sugar instead of just drenched in egg and honey. We had planned to eat this during our Penang trip but didn't have time to head to gurney plaza. On our JB trip one year ago, I brought 👦🏻's family to the outlet in paradigm mall :) on this trip, we discovered that they are at city square mall (on the top open level floor!) We had the sliced fish beehoon (should have opted for Meexian. I think that is the thick beehoon!) And spicy banmian soup. Visited San low seafood this time (6mins car drive from city square area). Ordered the otah, San low fried beehoon, fried baby squid, minced meat tofu, ngor hiang, veg and pork rib king. The San low beehoon here wasn't as chaotah as what I expected. But it tastes good with the sambal chilli lime sauce provided! The worst dish here was the pork rib king (which took the longest to be served. It was only served when we were almost done with our meal). Although no bones in the pork rib, the meat party was too dry and tasteless. So bad till no one wanted to have the last two pieces lol. (Actually we wanted to visit tropique cafe too but too bad it was closed to prepare for a private event last sat sobss). Cute and pretty delicate pastry tarts here! We got the fuji (haha yea still not getting enough of Fuji after returning from Japan lol) (matcha mousse, salted caramel nuts and Nama chocolate) and natsu (mango, passion fruit puree, earl grey chiffon) as well as a cup of hot chocolate! We preferred the Fuji to the natsu! The natsu tart base was just one thick butter tart crust (which was kinda hard to cut and our tart bits were flying all over the table, chair and floor haha) I must say this was one of our more expensive meals for our JB trip (RM45+ for these 3 small items)? This time round, we headed to restoran tasixi for dimsum, which is located a few mins drive away from paradigm mall. The staff will bring around the trays for you to choose orders here (drinks, porridge, chee cheong fan and lo mai kai are to be ordered directly with staff)! This lomaikai was the oiliest lomaikai I have ever seen/eaten! Haha but it was tasty! For fried dishes, we opted for the almond prawn ball, fried prawn/fish paste fritters and carrot cake. Steamed dishes we got the dangui siew mai and ngorhiangroll. Favourite item here is the green dangui siewmai!! The dangui taste was sooo fragrant!! Haven't had such a siewmai elsewhere before too. It was initially in my Penang 2017 trip plans, but we didnt have the chance to eat it then. Fast forward two years, go noodle house can be found in most shopping malls in JB now! (City square, KSL and paradigm mall have them!) Loved the light broth soup, coupled with the silky thin/thick beehoon. Tried the bursting meatballs (which was essentially fu zhou balls in meatball outer layer skin) and the sliced fish soup. Both were good! The trio platter (consisting of fried beancurd skin, bakkwa and ngor hiang) was too oily though, especially the fried beancurd skin
