3🌟| Deep fried garlic pork. It was alright, just not fantastic. We would have gone for Moo Yang (grilled pork collar) if they had that dish but unfortunately they didn't. I felt that the pork was a little dry for my liking. The good thing was that the pork was well-marinated and flavourful, so it was still nice with the fragrant Thai jasmine rice.
1🌟| Do not order this. After ordering the other meat dishes, we were feeling guilty and thought we should get one veg dish to allay that guilt. This Belachan Kang Kong was a huge disappointment. It was way too salty and the belachan had no "wok-hei" which most Singaporeans like us look forward to in a dish like this. So nope! Thank you, next.
5🌟| Another dish that we always order every time we have Thai food is the clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup. This hot bowl of soup did not disappoint at all! It packs a punch for the spicy food lovers, contains a lot of seafood and mushrooms and was also just nice for 2 to 3 people when you have other side dishes. It's so good that Sam, who doesn't take spicy food at all, offered to clear it up even though he was already soaked in perspiration. Now that says a lot!
5🌟| Of all Thai dishes, wherever and whenever we have them, we would never fail to order the prawn cake. It almost makes or breaks our impression of the Thai food joint. When we had this at Nakhon Thai,we were very satisfied as there is so much prawn goodness in this. Each piece is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I loved it that we could find sizable prawn bits inside the prawn cake which made the texture really delightful. Must order dish!
3🌟| Pineapple fried rice. Good old pineapple fried rice. Provided us with the carbs that we wanted but nothing much to rave about as well. The pineapple taste could be a little bit stronger. I liked the fact that they were generous with their pork floss.
