First visit, but definitely won't be my last.

Went during lunch hours, and ordered the Yakitori Bento Set B which consists of Asparagus Maki, Negima, Tsukune, Garlic Pork and Shiitake.

My friend and I were initially skeptical of the taste because of how it was prepared. But trust me when we both agreed that it is good.

Truly enjoyed the yakitori. They all tasted good. Only disappointment was the garlic pork as it was too tough. The best in my opinion was the Tsukune and Negima.

The vegetables at the side were pretty average (exactly what you would expect out of vegetables). Miso soup was average too.

The rice was quite mind-blowing. It came with minced meat on the top, seaweed and mushroom. The minced meat was so flavourful that it complimented the rice so well. Tasted kinda like Taiwan's braised pork rice (卤肉饭).

It is affordable as it costed $15.50. The price is worth it. Would definitely revisit again to try the other side dishes!

Ordered the 12 pieces chicken. Comes in 2 flavour which we choose - Original (Salted) and Basil & Cheese.

This is the second time we are eating this. The first time we ordered the Original flavour and the Katsu Ume flavour.

Slightly disappointed that the quality of the chicken was not as great as compared to the first time we went. It was more tender and juicy previously. Not sure if it was because the batch that we got came in with more fats as compared to lean meat.

Personally I enjoy the Original flavour a lot. My friend was a great fan of the Katsu Ume flavour. Basil & Cheese was disappointing as it was not what we expected. If you are a great fan of cheese, I would not recommend this as you can't really taste the cheese. It is a rather light tasting, herby sauce. Not my kind of thing.

However, we still enjoy the 16 grain rice a lot. It was very flavourful and had a great texture to it!

Overall, I would say that it is one of the better chicken karaage I have eaten. I enjoyed how the chicken remained fresh and cripsy throughout. It was not greasy at all. I would like to think that it was just a bad timing when we came during the second round.

I would definitely still recommend it, and personally I would revisit to try other flavours. Hopefully, I would not be disappointed again.
