Decent Eats
Decided to give this a try after buying the fave deal - enjoyed the broth and noodles. But probably not worth the full price without the deal though.
Bread was soft and nice! Also tried the almond pastry, which looked better than it tastes
Cuban slow roasted pork belly - meat was tender, enjoyed the sauce on it too.
Interesting dish - corn inside and comes with bacon bits and sour cream. Not too bad, would be nice if it could be crispier though
Small portion for $5, but tastes not bad. Good service too
$3.20 for a generous portion of noodles. Liked the sauce they put, and the wantons were also quite tasty!
Tried the chicken chop and steak - both were good and really tasty. Portion is also quite big with the potato and fries! The sauce on the meat is also quite unique, not like what you usually get at western stalls.
Only complaint: felt quite thirsty after the meal, probably quite a bit of MSG?
Tried the mala soup as well as the standard collagen soup. Not bad but nothing special enough to warrant the 1hr queue!
In terms of ingredients, thought the meat dumpling was the best. The fish tofu was ok only, quite pricey!
Tried the hojitcha and matcha lattes, which were quite nice and went well with the savory waffles. The honey cheesecake was unique, not the usual type of cheesecake.
Turkish pizza - ordered as part of the lunch set, which comes with a drink. The bread part was nice and fluffy. Good tasting, with lots of cheese. Portion is huge, more suitable for sharing.
The Turkish bread and hummus here are great too
Beef was tender, sauce was also nice and there was also some mushrooms and onions
Good service! The roast duck noodles was not bad, sauce was slightly different from the usual duck noodles in a good way. Reasonable prices for the Jalan kayu stretch!
