Found this old school confectionery at Clementi, just a short walk away from train station.
You would find all the freshly baked pastries and cakes on display here. As I was searching for something I want to grab, I found this dark colour filling which turned up to be black sesame.
The flavour wasn’t too strong but pleasant hint as you eat. Fluffy texture as well.
They have been baking their signature cheese cake for many years in this neighbourhood of Bukit Merah.
You will never have the chance to purchase directly from the store unless you are here very early as the first customer, yet the chance is not guaranteed.
All their cheese cakes have to preorder from their website at least 1 day before, as they only prepare based on the amount of orders they have for the day.
Even after so many years, they still have lots of preorder bookings; and you still see some people dropping by to hopefully trying their luck. But usually they would be turned away.
They sell a few different flavours of cheese cake and one of the popular flavour would be this pandan.
I can see why they constantly receiving lots of orders because their cheese cake was so fluffy and not too creamy. Really good as a gift or simply trying it yourself.
A donut shop at Financial District, opens from early morning at 9am. You can grab & go, or enjoy the donuts with some drink here as well.
I gotten 2 of the local inspired flavours, which is the pandan kaya and Nanyang Kopi. Both filled with lots of cream inside.
Hougang Rivercourt housed a few dining places under this HDB mall, which just opened not long ago.
This place would consider a chilling spot with their açai, smoothie and ice cream here. Their açai ice cream taste like the usual açai topped with a piece of biscuit.
Ah Long Pancake is not stranger to many people as they have a few outlets, with one located at Paya Lebar Square.
Choose from the traditional style or added with egg. Then select the topping you want to add to your pancake.
I gotten the toppings of chicken floss and peanut, both with cheese as well.
The texture is enjoyable and sufficient topping for me.
I was here for lunch previously as saw a lot of people getting their muffins from this stall. So decided to come back to buy some and try.
You can buy 5 of them and get 1 for free. Lots of flavours they have when I came, ranging from blueberry, berries, banana and oreo chocolate.
All the mooncakes are baked freshly, so they don’t come with plastic packaging. So be mindful of this when gifting it to people.
You can customise the flavours you want, and the gifting packaging will be provided at a cost.
Some of the mooncakes filling included pure lotus with yolk, pandan lotus, red bean and durian.
I came across this place only recently as I’m searching where to get traditional mooncake as gift.
Interestingly this place is actually located inside hawker centre at Geylang, and they have started the business for many years since 1978.
Upon arriving at the stall in the early morning, there’s already a few customer choosing their mooncake. And the staff also busy packing mooncake orders as well.
They sell traditional mooncakes here and one of their popular items would be their crispy Teaochew Orh Nee mooncake.
Easily sold out within the day and you would need to come early to grab the chance to buy it.
Choose from either with yolk or not, and you would love the crispy texture of the mooncake that filled with real yam.
In this very quiet area of Ang Mo Kio, a short walk distance away from the MRT station, you would find this cafe that open from late afternoon till late night. Offering ice cream and drink here, suitable for group gathering or just chill.
They are proud to serve vegan ice cream here, and the taste don’t compromise at all. Especially for their Corny Cornflake, you get a very strong corn flavour here with lots of cornflake.
But if you want something refreshing and cold, then go with their mango dessert to complete your meal here.
Don’t finish your meal here without trying some of their desserts as well. And their yam paste really worth getting it.
The chrysanthemum flavour surprisingly strong as you eat it, and you would find all the cacao nibs mixed inside.
