Servers were friendly and attentive, atmosphere was cozy and chill, and the food was superb. 10/10 would recommend the mushroom soup and uni pasta (super packed full of flavour).
Food was great! My partner and I ordered both the burger and shepherd’s pie to share. Our friendly server Ivy actually recommended the shepherd’s pie to us and it did not disappoint! Warm and comforting with bread to mop up that delicious, saucy minced lamb. Burger was great too (didn’t get to try much of this because my partner loves burgers and ate it all before i could get a few bites in). Got a Guinness as well and it was real smooth and paired well with the food. Will be back!
Heard good things about this place from a friend so we came here for our date night. We got the lobster pasta and their signature stracci ai gamberi e capesante and was really impressed with their pastas. While both pastas were really flavourful, I would say that if there’s one that you MUST order, it would be the stracci ai gamberi e capesante. It is their house signature for a reason and the sauce is like no other that I’ve tasted. Got the sticky date pudding to end the dinner off on a sweet note. Will be back again to try the other dishes!
Ordered the Foie Gras Miso Pasta and I really liked how the pasta was done al dente. Sauce was really tasty and the miso added a nice sort of depth to the dish without being too overpowering. Got the bouillabaisse as well and could really taste the rich, seafood flavour. I wished they gave another slice of that crisp yet fluffy ciabatta bread - it would’ve been great for mopping up the remainder of the soup. All in all, a great dining experience!
Had dinner here with some friends on a weeknight and was really impressed by the food, atmosphere and service.
We got some starters to start (heh) and i must say, they really know what they are doing with their food. Definitely order the Uni, Lardo and Caviar toast - the flavours were complex yet seemed to be perfectly balanced. The MS6-7 Zabuton and MS8-9 Rib Cap were great too, really juicy and flavourful slices of meat. I’ve also seen many the reviews raving about the Mac and Cheese and I’m happy to say that it’s exactly as they said. I’m someone who usually doesn’t like Mac and Cheese but this was so, so, so good - decadent without being overly cloying. We also got the Eton Mess and the Burnt Blue Cheese Cake to end off our meal on a sweet note. For those who are more adventurous, I’ll recommend going for the cheesecake as the blue cheese added a different dimension to the cake (honestly not as overpowering as i thought it would be) and it turned out to be really good. All in all, a place i’ll recommend when you want a new yet amazing food experience!
My first time trying Russian food and it did not disappoint. I recommend the dumpling combo platter for those who are interested in trying their different varieties of dumplings (they have bacon and potato ones!!). Wanted to try their honey cake as well but it was sold out. Will be back again to try it!!
Enjoyed a night out at Coucou and had an unbelievably wonderful time. Service was impeccable - kudos to the attentive service crew who were so helpful during our time at the restaurant. The food was amazing as well, with us leaving the restaurant with full yet satisfied bellies. I highly recommend getting the Pork Tenderloin with Morels Mushroom Sauce as the pork is mindblowingly good, so juicy and tender. Paired with the rich yet complex flavours of the Morels mushroom sauce, it is simply a dish that leaves me wanting more. While the prices may be a little steep, the quality of the dishes are superb and definitely worth every penny.
Lovely dining ambience with friendly staff members. I ordered the Capellini from the set lunch menu ($16.90+) and really enjoyed the food. The pasta was cooked al dente - just how I like it - and the ingredients used were really fresh. I especially loved the large, juicy prawns in the pasta - they were so good! The set also came with a salad or soup and drink which I thought was pretty value for money for so many different items. My dining partner and I also ordered the Cioppino (seafood broth - $18.90) to share and was pleasantly surprised by it. The soup was very tasty, tangy with a rich seafood taste that we thought complemented each other very well.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely return to try out the other dishes!
Went to Teppei Syokudo with my friends on a busy Tuesday afternoon. The place was packed but we got our food pretty fast. I ordered the Spicy Sesame Kaisen Don after hearing raving reviews about it from my colleagues and I can understand why they recommended it to me! The spicy sauce was unique and tasty, complimenting the cubes of fresh sashimi very well. I’m sure spice lovers would enjoy this a lot! Will be back for sure to try out the Signature Kaisen Don and their other food items!
