Sweet Soy Pork Ribs ($30++)
Liked how the marination of soy sauce, garlic and honey (i think?) resulted in a sweet tangy sauce.
Ribs were also very well done, falling off the bone easily

Didnt think the chili relish complimented the rest of the dish though.

Ask to sit inside as the acoustics are much better. Outside can get a bit noisy and warm.

Wagyu beef semur ($20.80++)
Decent dish, but nothing to shout about. About 5 pieces of beef in the dish.

Would recommend the prawn bostador ($20.80++) instead. Prawns in that dish were very fresh and juicy, coated with very fragrant luscious lemak gravy.

They've also got this tasty sweet fish pickle. You've got to pay for a second serving fyi.

Bauernwurst ($20++)
Sausage is bursting with flavour, and the potatoes have soaked up the juices from the sausage so that each slice is well seasoned.

Ribeye 250g (19.50nett)

Second time here, and am always impressed by their sides. Fries are exceptionaly crispy without being oily, while mac and cheese has layers of complexion.

The steak is pretty good too, getting their medium rare texture spot on in terms of juiciness.

It may be located in a hdb area, but dont let that fool you. Make sure you call ahead as the place can get crowded.

Burpple set consists of
2 bowls of BKT (2 bones each)
2 side dishes
2 drinks

Topped up 2 dollars for 2 bowls of rice.

The soup is pepper kind, not the herbal sort. Bones had q a good amount of meat. But felt the soup was a bit too salty.

Soup is free flow. Although that's usually the case for most BKT chains.

Okay this is a must-order! I don’t love the usual KPT but the lobster one is good! They aren’t stingy with the lobster meat at all.

Loved how novel this is! So we found out Otah tastes good fried too!!

Dont let the simple decor and the premise of it being in the heartlands fool you. Their food represents excellent value and is high in taste too.

We had the steak (19.5) and the truffle pork chops (14)
Steak was medium rare and well seasoned. Pork was decent, and their truffle sauce gave it an excellent kick.

But their sides are why you should patronise this restaurant. Forget astons mac and cheese. The cheese mixed mozzarella and cheddar, and well toasted in an oven, which browned well on the top. Dont get me started on their fries. Each fry was exceptionally crisy, and represented a fantastic crunch with each bite. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy inside. Well seasoned that we didnt even need to ask for chilli/ ketchup.

Thailily is famous for their seabass, but you don't want to miss their grilled pork neck.

The staff will tell you it'll take 25minutes, but its worth the wait.

Its grilled to perfection, with the right amount of fat to ensure you aren't eating a piece of cardboard. Let the oil from the meat dribble down your mouth while you dip the pork in their sweet and sour sauce.

Best way to end your meal there.

Did not expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the chicken chops.

Even though we had the salted egg and chili crab dips, the chicken was so well seasoned with herbs that it seemed a waste not to eat the chicken on its own. We ended up using the dips for the chips.

Had the chili crab and salted egg yolk dips. Both packed a punch, with the flavours tantilising your tastebuds.

Medium rare steak was cooked to the right tenderness. Very juicy as well.

Some might say the steak was slightly underseasoned, but this allows you to taste the natural flavours of the meat.

And you MUST have the mashed potatoes. Very smoothly blended with little grits and a hint of cheese to add extra flavour into it.

You can really taste the smokiness from it being charcoal grilled. This was medium but I’d recommend you go for medium rare. They get the doneness right so don’t be afraid. Small, cosy place, great for family or date nights!
