When I opted for no sugar in this iced matcha latte, I was advised by the staff that if I do not add a bit of sugar, it would not be as nice. I was a bit speechless as I thought that matcha could still be amazing without sugar, so I went ahead with my personal preference. Lo and behold, the matcha latte was… really not nice at all. But I don’t think sugar will salvage it either. The matcha itself was rough and powdery in texture, and had no taste at all. With the supposed Hokkaido milk, all I could taste was milk and a bland tea taste, not so much the matcha essence. I do hope that in one way or another, the standard of the matcha latte improves, as with the rather affordable price point, it will surely be a hit if done well.

Mocha here was not really sweet and was on the more watery side. A bit pricey for the quality but well if you really want your caffeine fix you are honestly willing to swallow any kind of coffee!

Also had the Creme Brûlée Latte ($6.50) which was surprisingly unique and pretty good! Albeit being a little bit sweet, the creme brûlée gave a creamy and slightly thicker consistency to the coffee. If you like sweet coffee, this would be an interesting drink to try.

Strong and smooth coffee whilst slightly sweet. Although mocha was decent, I could barely taste the milo nodes in it.

Decently smooth and milky latte.

All I can say is that I have had better elsewhere. Their coffee may be subpar but I think their other drinks on the menu look more enticing and are potentially better.

Apparent matcha flavour with a thick and milky texture. Not the smoothest as you can still taste powdery sediments, but overall decent.

Milk Tea felt a bit lighter than usual in the bottled black milk tea w/ panna cotta. The panna cotta when mixed up with the drink adds a delicate creamy texture to the milk tea, but I couldn’t make out its vanilla flavour very well. The staff told me the panna cotta was a vanilla-esque pudding so that’s why I was expecting strong vanilla nodes in there. I guess the good thing about the panna cotta was that it was not too sweet at all, perhaps only at the end when u suck it all up, and also because my milk tea was at zero sweetness level. However, I was still hoping that there was some semblance of taste to it, and there was only a mildly sweet and creamy one, which did not seem the most value adding to me. I don’t hate it, but I just don’t see how it’s great. Ultimately, it’s decent, and I do seem to still prefer their non-signature black milk tea w/ grass jelly.

Thought the black milk tea here was lighter than usual but still pretty good! I like the grass jelly option more than the panna cotta because there’s a slight sweetness to it and more towards my palate. But do note that the grass jelly in this is more of a compact jello, so I personally like to mix it up before I drink to even out the sweetness. If not it might get way too sweet just when you’re about to finish!

Tiramisu latte was a sweet coffee pairing with the meal. Was genuinely surprised because the tiramisu element was strong, perhaps because they put more tiramisu syrup to elevate the flavour. I did think it was a bit too sweet, and perhaps they could’ve turned down on the cocoa to reduce the sweetness — perhaps a request that could be made! Caffeine kick in here was adequately strong for me.

After their undesirable and overly sweet Nagoya milk tea I had a while ago, I took a chance on their coconut mocha. Glad to say Fruce has once again wow-ed me with this delightful combination. This dessert drink with a kick or caffeine was sweet, but opting for minimal sweetness level made the sweetness optimal for a mocha. The coconut milk injected a refreshing flavour which fused with the coffee, and added a creamy texture to it which I adored. A good balance of flavours in this drink, one that I’d recommend!

Angostura 7 rum, amaretto, frangelico, espresso stout, peanut butter.
Smooth and creamy cocktail with run that exudes a strong sweetness. Very light nodes of peanut butter essence, was hoping there could be more! Nonetheless, this creamy cocktail which can also give a good coffee kick is pretty fitting for a dessert, making it a sweet end to your meal.
Great vibes for drinks, not the best or mindblowingly good food (perhaps, unique), but atmosphere might get noisy and ruins the decadent bar lounge vibe it exudes.

Lillet rose, pink grapefruit liqueur, sumac cordial, ginger beer, bubbles
A light, sweet, and fruity bubbly cocktail which I really enjoyed. I personally already love ginger beer, so being able to have this in a concoction was interesting to me. Loved the nodes of berry-esque essence from the sumac cordial, and the slight acidity from the pink grapefruit. A very pretty and aesthetic pink drink as well!
