Found this hidden gem at a Presbyterian church, thanks to burpple! Loved the cozy vibes, warm staff, the nice Christian reads and as a whole, how affordable the food was. The pasta was great (loved how generous the sauce was) and my colleague and I enjoyed how spacious and conducive the place was to work and have conversations.

Ps: Many thanks to the friendly staff who lent me your iPhone cable, it saved my phone battery at a much needed time!
Loved the Tom yam soup, omelette, mango salad the most amidst all the food we ordered. Great place to enjoy good Thai food without breaking your budget.
Enjoyed the flavours and texture of the noodles
Knew of this place through burpple and it didn’t disappoint! Steamed fish was tender and savoury, and the braised meat tasted great with the chilli. Usually I find Teochew food too bland but this shop did it really well.
I don’t usually order murthabak (more of a prata person) but this was really delicious! A nice blend of meat, mozzarella cheese and mushrooms. Portion was huge and can be shared among 2 people
Comes in a huge portion with really gao and delicious soup. Yums
Visited this place for the 1-1 but turned out the food was great even at its original cost! $9.90 for a whole fish and the huge portions for the omelette and Tom yum was very satisfying.
If you’re looking to enjoy quality Indian food in a nice setting, Zaffron kitchen is quite the place for it. Some things on the menu are quite pricey, but you could still get a decent briyani for $15-20. Tandoori chicken was surprisingly soft and tender, and I love the mint sauces next to it.
Not too shabby for a morning’s breakfast. $3.70 for the set which is slightly on the pricey side. Egg tart was nice and had a soft custard centre, while the yuan yang was a bit strong for my liking
North Bridge Road Market is possibly the cleanest hawker I’ve ever been?! I couldn’t find a piece of litter on the floor - amazing!
I tried the $4 dry prawn mee from Thomson Big Prawn mee store. The soup erred on the salty side but the generous portion made the meal very satisfying.
