Back here to dine on the $17.90+ all-you-can-eat Korean Chicken plus BBQ Buffet excluding drinks. 🍗🔥 There's a strict 90-minute dining policy in place and a minimum of 2 pax. The buffet spread is basic, consisting of meats, fish, and sides.

The marination on the meats was decent, and the lettuce remained fresh, which was great. The other banchan were refreshing too. The Korean fried chicken, available in original, sweet soy, and spicy flavours, stood out with its crunchy skin and steaming hot interior, tasted like KFC chicken. 🍗 I like the spicy one the most.

Feeling absolutely stuffed after the Ban Heng Ala-Carte buffet. I'm practically glued to the seat, too full to move. We went for Buffet Menu A and it was a massive spread of delicious zi char delights. Some dishes, like the shark's fin soup with crabmeat and deep-fried 'Soon Hock' with superior soya sauce, were served just once. The rest were all-you-can-eat, but remember not to overorder!

Among the many dishes we devoured, a few stood out: the deep-fried fish skin with salted egg yolk, steamed sea bass with superior soya sauce, poached local spinach with three types of egg, deep-fried beancurd with Thai sauce, braised pork belly served with steamed bun, and sautéed lala with sambal.

Dessert was a spread of bubble tea, soya beancurd, gelato, osmanthus jelly, and cheesecake. You could claim one of each item only, though.

As for drinks, they've got Chinese tea, Coca-Cola, Fanta Orange, Winter Melon tea, iced water, coffee, milk tea, and Milo.

Overall, it was tastisfying. They even serve dim sum at the same price for lunch—what a deal!

Went all out and got into a prata-induced food coma. I've never seen so much prata disappear in one sitting before! The Prata buffet was a steal at $7.90 per pax.😮
We ordered a total of 39 Prata, but somehow the shop sneakily added even more to our stack.☠️
We had a choice of fish curry and chicken curry. The fish curry was thick and bursting with rich flavours. On the other hand, the chicken curry, though a bit watery, packed a punch of flavours.
We only had the eggs & onions prata and the mushroom & cheese prata as they are the most worth it in term of pricing if you know what i mean. Pratas were made on the spot and served hot, with a slight crisp and a doughy goodness.
Oh... Their banana Prata is good too.

Recently visited Hainan Lao Ba Buffet, and I must say, it was just okay. The major downside was their super slow service, from attending to customers to clearing up tables; they seemed very short-handed. The waiting time was real, at least 30 to 45 minutes for your food to arrive.

Although we didn't go during peak hours, they still managed to mess up people's order. Seriously? Besides that, the food was just average. Not everything was wonderful; some dishes fell short.

I'd recommend avoiding their chicken cutlet and chicken chop - one was overly hard, and the other lacked taste. For me, the standout dishes were the tomato omelette, nuggets, standard dim sum items, coconut chicken soup and hainanese chicken.

To add to the disappointment, they ran out of prawns, so all prawn-related dishes were unavailable. I mean, seriously, why run a buffet and run out of a staple item like prawns? Needless to say, I was hangry.

Overall, I'd say it's a place to try once and decide if you'd want to return. As for me, I don't think I'll be going back.

Just had a great food comaxperience at Seasonal Taste Buffet. Must be getting old already... Can't conquer much food like I used to be.🥲
Tried their limited The Great Thai Feast Buffet which ends this month and though the taste was decent, I expected more Thai flavours. Highlights were the savoury, chewy and slurpy Lobster Phad Thai, super fatty and tender Pork Neck, and refreshing Som Tum Blue Crab. Sashimi and oysters were noteworthy, while Tom Yum Goong could have been better. Gelato and Black Forest Cake were nice for dessert. Overall, the food was above average with exceptional service. 🦀🍜🍦🎂🍴
Oh their Cha-Yen was awesome too.

Work hard now to deshell for a hassle free and easy eating later. Load up the hotplate so you can constantly eat while cooking your food. Had the Tom Yum soup this time round, but sad to say the Tom Yum taste got diluted overtime and become seafood soup.🤡 Just stick to chicken soup will do.
Satisfy ourselves with the ice cream buffet after having seafood buffet.😍🍧 Look at how much cup we have.😁 Truly tastisfying and food coma.

Sorry, my picture here may not do justice but the amount of seafood refill that I have was unmeasurable. Okay, maybe only a plate of seafood that was left behind while i took the whole tray over.🤭
With the hitz items, like crayfish, scallop, flower crab and prawns, one can whacked it to their heart content. People be like taking faster than the store can refill lor but all was worth it. Good thing is they refill quite fast also.🦀🦞🦐🦑
There is also a bowl of complimentary live prawn freshly scooped out from their mini tank.🦐
Now for the cooking, spread the margarine on the big hot plate and placed the raw food on it. But before that, if you are lazy and want to eat faster, best to get someone to de-shell those seafood before cooking for a better eating experience. Plus, the hot melted margarine can straight away fused the flavour to the meat itself.
Hotpot in the middle is superb. Had either chicken stock or Tom Yum as base and then start throwing delicious stuff into it. Flavours only gets stronger overtime thanks to the great amount of seafood in it. A oceanic sweet umami taste.🥰
Wait! Don't go yet! They also got free flow cooked food and ice cream too. Cooked food were normal tho, maybe cause cold already. The mingo ice cream is solid and many flavour to choose from. Rare to find lychee flavour over there too.💥

Overall, a good meal but not a great price. Staff are so busy and super short-handed. Seems reluctant to serve as some request a number of food as they scare the customers waste food. Serving very slow also, and most of time you don't see them as well.

Recommend to make reservation. As much as possible, give them a call every hour in hope they answer it because seriously, they are not attending to it much. The phone just keep on ringing like some background music. Quite understandable when you are here dining and seeing how short-handed the staff were.

Select yourself a good soup base, highly recommend The Best or Red Hot. Trust me you will not regret it. An important soup base will pretty much define your eating experience over here. Complete your experience with a cheese ring around it just for the grams.🤭 Do eat while it's just serve out piping hot for the cheese-pulled effect as it get cold pretty fast.😟
We had quite a number of meat, seafood, vegetables, processed food and of course, can't miss ramyeon.🤤 Food were standard because you cook your own, so nice or not nice depends on yourself already.
Among their various type tteokbokki, their cheese flavour stands out the most. The hot gooeyness in that soft chewy tteokbokki adds an extra kick to it.
When you are done eating for hotpot, you can request the staff to cook up fried rice using the remaining of your soup base. Suggest you to leave the last 20-30 min of 90 min for it to avoid sudden rush in eating.

New Yunnan amish hotpot buffet place that had replaced the old XiangCao Yunnan for quite a few month but they have the same menu and price with a little minor changes.😅
The place is much bigger than the old and can host many more customers. Service was alright and the food were great too.
Add $8 for three/four soup base pot with fixed wild mushroom soup and two/three other choices. We had pork bone and hot & sour soup. Soup were rather normal at the start but towards the end, was quite flavourful especially that pork bone broth.😋 Mushroom soup was mellow initially, but after we order a plate of Wild Mushroom Platter for 4 pax($6), the mushroomy taste certainly shoot to the moon. If were to compare this new ahms and old XiangCao mushroom soup, I would say XiangCao win cause the taste is much richer in every aspect. As for ahms, taste was rather clean but all these boiled down to personal preference.
Same wide selection for normal buffet so no need go for premium if you want to save some money.
Meat quality were okay. Remember to make your dips too.
