Comforting bowl of chicken noodle (ramen) soup for a rainy day ($12.90++). Chicken was absolutely tender and rich soup was very pleasant and drinkable (as compared to tonkotsu broth). Love how you can customise the dish to your preference - firmness of noodles, richness of broth and toppings.
Got the atka mackerel ($17.90++) and regular mackerel ($14.90++). Both fish were fresh and tasty! Comes with rice, miso soup as well as free flow salad bar (coffee jelly was YUM). Will return again but would recommend to go earlier. Queued for approx an hour before I got a table and food.
A hearty and VERY eggy bowl of oyakodon. Comes with 5 or 6 different types of eggs and chicken. Might be too eggy for some people but overall still a pretty good dish! Plus points for the presentation too ๐๐ป
Tried this jap place after reading good reviews! Ordered the highly rated okonomiyaki ($17.90++). Quite tasty but recommend to share it with 2-3 pax as it is pretty filling. Love the charred and crispy bits at the bottom of the pancake.
Tried the curry udon for the first time and wasn't blown away. Curry was kinda diluted/ not thick enough (tho too thick might be jelat). Not fantastic but udon texture was still on point and pork katsu was delishhh. Would just stick to my usual kitsune udon!
Humble shop situated within One Raffles Place serving delicious and authentic japanese soba. My go-to is the hot kitsune soba ($12) and the cold daikon soba ($12). Hits the spot every time and definitely one of my favourite noodle place!!
(Portion is just right for small-regular eater but I wish there can be never ending soba noodle)
Patronised the shop on a Friday evening and waited about 20+ mins for a table. Ordered the premium tonkatsu (22.90++) that comes with free flow cabbage and rice. Pork was a little tough and certain parts of the batter was slightly soggy. Overall was still pretty yummy with the grinded sesame and sauce. Think the outlet at Serangoon Garden might be a bit better! Would still return nevertheless.
Ordered the bara chirashi ($14.90) and assorted bowl ($15.90). Comes with truffle rice instead of regular sushi rice. Was interesting at the start but got abit jelat after awhile. Sashimi was not bad but the assorted bowl was missing octopus and scallops was pathetically thin. Food was overall ok but service was terrible. Guy at the counter was rude and staff was very uncoordinated. Had to show vaccination status and check-in multiple times even tho had already done so at the entrance. Probably won't return.
