Starting off our dinner course we have the (complimentary) soft and fluffy kombu brioche with smoked miso butter. The salty taste of miso was prominent in the butter and I like how it goes with the warm and fluffy bun.

This is my usual favourite appetizer with bread served warm. Nothing beats bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. Am I the only one who starts filling myself with bread at restaurants

These buns taste very much like mantou with a chewy and bouncy texture except it comes with fillings. My favourite goes to their chocolate buns with rich and smooth chocolate flowing out of the bun after steaming along with stretchy mochi and chewy bun. The yam bun was also good with subtle sweetness and natural yam paste. The matcha didnt turn out as good after reading those highly raved reviews about it. Perhaps I was expecting it to come with strong matcha flavours. I like how these buns are mildly sweetenedso we get to taste the natural flavours.

MamaFang's mochi buns are homemade and vegan friendlywith natural ingredientscrafted from scratch with no preservatives. Their buns are made-to-order therefore orders have to be placed 1 week in advance online where pre-order slots are refreshed every Monday night. The buns are best consumed on the day of delivery, up to 2 days zip lock in the chiller or up to 2 weeks clingfilm in the freezer. Steam the buns before indulging in them for the best taste.

One of my favourite starters is olive oil and balsamic vinegar dipping sauce paired with hearty bread. The bread is so soft and airy. I like to dip and let the bread sit in the oil for a while to absorb more of its delicious flavour中

Kyoto Uji green tea bread with green tea cream and chocolate$3

The exterior of the briochebun is lined with matcha crumble with creamy/liquid filling made from Uji green tea cream and chocolate inside. The lava filling was dense/intense and tasted better when heated to a slightly warm temperature else it can be eaten on its own at room temperature. The bitterness of the matcha is balanced with some sweetness from the chocolate. Pure matcha fans would love this for the natural bitterness from the matcha. I would say this is very worth the price tag considering the quality used and how dense it is.

Soft, fluffy & chewy sesame bunfilled with bittersweet black sesame and brown sugar mochi.Inspired by glutinous rice balls (瘙文), the roundness symbolizes unity and togetherness. The grittiness of the black sesame and chewy mochi elevates the whole texture of this bread$2.80

TBB signature crisp buttery pastry shaped like a disc with generous pockets of butter, glazed with caramelised sugar and a hint of salt. This is like a croissant but upgraded to a denser, breadier, lesser layer with more butter and sugar. Good to share as this is quite huge and sugar overloaded $5.30

I'm in a relationship with food. Why can't we just declare our never ending love and vows towards some food item? I'm sure that would not result in divorces.
