Halal Food
Singapore Food Street serves up what could be the last local Singaporean food before ones departs from Singapore. (For those visiting Singaoore)
For the locals like us, this is our last local food before we go for our trip.
Nasi Lemak here was only ok, the rendang sauce wasn't so flavourful, but at least the otah was good.
Habibie Seafood is a Halal ZhiChar-like establishment located at 829 Tampines Street 81 coffee shop.
Their dishes all not bad, especially liked their Tiga Rasa Deep fried fish, which is fried fish in spicy, sweet&sour sauce.
The Boneless Fired Chicken was damn good. Damn Crunchy.
Comes with a wide selection of sauces, but decided to go with their Signature Sambal, with spicy level 10,20,30 or Danger! Went for level 20 thinking I am being Conservative, I was so wrong.
The Sambal level 20 made my lips tremble, made my eyes teared, made me dripping in sweat the entire meal. I went home, and I feel my stomach still processing this sambal. Damn spicy.
So if wanna just wanna feel shiok, just go for level 10.
Comes with rice, yellow rice, indomie or salad.
Kedai Kopi is a Halal friendly coffee shop located at the foot of block 380 Clementi Ave 5. All stalls here are Halal certified.
The Nasi Lemak Store here caught by attention with its XXL Chicken Leg blue Pea Nasi Lemak.
The chicken leg was deep fried and skin looks crispy and dry, but the meat inside is juicy and tender.
Portion of the Blue Pea rice also alot, as compared to some other places I had recently.
Overall not bad, will return to try the other stalls here.
Da Jie Niang Dou Fu is a Halal establishment.
They served their YTF in different styles, cater to your liking, they have:
1) Ambang style - Sweet, Sour & Mildly Spicy
2) Hakka style - Original Flavour with Mince Meat
3) Tom Yam
4) Laksa
5) Soup
They also serve Mala Xiang Guo, which u seldom find in Halal Establishment.
Both Ambang and Hakka Style were pretty similar, except 1 is spicy, the other isn't. Both used fresh ingredients, so food is rather good.

Al Azhar opens till 2am daily, so this go to spot for late night supper, even at 1am, also damn crowded.
Al Azhar has a very extensive menu, got seafood, got Indian food, got Muslim food, got Zhi Char dishes also.
Tandoori chicken(whole chicken)- the chicken must be deformed or born without hands, because the chicken wings were missing from this order for whole chicken. The bbq taste was damn good, one of the better tandoori Chicken I ever had, honestly. But the missing chicken wings are a little worrying.
Maggie Goreng- very flavourful, seasoning taste very distinct. Quite a solid dish
Chicken Cheese Murtabak- I always have Murtabak when I visited Al Azhar. The serving is damn huge la, and the corners of this Murtabak is crispy. Chicken was rather dry though. Really struggle to finish, so huge.

Formerly opened at Tanglin Halt FC.
DJ satay grill have since shifted to Margaret Drive Hawker Centre.
Chicken Satay was soft and tender and the meats were Chunkier in size then some other satays stalls I had before.
Western Food Menu only avaliable after 1pm.
Sirloin Steak cooked to medium well. It was tender and good. Not bad for a shop that does not specialise in western food.
Sambal was very shiok, flavourful and not very spicy.
Comes with a large plate of crispy fries as well
Situated at Jalan Batu Hawker, Blackgoat serves some very excellent Halal Western food.
Their main menu items are their steaks, burgers and Brownies. They also have weekly ever-changing special menu items like brown butter sambal stingray, Mussels, white clams, Lamp Leg, flower crabs etc etc etc. So look out for the menu on their Instagram page.
1) Free Range Lamb Leg(200g) with Rempah & Garam Masala sauce
- The best Lamb dish u will ever have. Perfectly Grilled to Medium. Soft and Tender and tasted very good. Their Rampah and Garam Masala Sauce is rather good as well. This dish is the the G.O.A.T, in the BlackGoat. This dish gets sold out fast. Limited stocks weekly. Sold out for the weekend just after I ordered on Friday Dinner.
2) Australian Grass-Fed Ribeye Steak(180g)
- Perfectly Grilled to Medium, soft and tender and flavourful. Some good quality steak here for coffee shop setting. Served with Fries and Vegetables
3) White Pepper Fried Chicken Burger with Chipotle sauce
- Fried Chicken Thigh with really tasty and crispy batter. Topped with their delicious and spicy Chipotle sauce, which I found very very overpowering, especially with its bits of pickles mixed in. Bread was layered with butter and Grilled.
4) Warm Brownies with Expresso Caramel, Hazelnut, Banana, Vanilla ice Cream
- Another MVP in blackgoat, the Brownies were damn good, and it's up there among the best Brownies I ever Had. The Expresso Caramel brings out the taste of the Brownie.
