With Christmas and New Year just around the corner, Swissbake partnered with sister company Zac Butchery to present the yearly festive menu. This year’s collection includes the Stuffed Herb Roasted Chicken ($68), and there is the Dark Chocolate Truffle Log Cake ($48) and Lemon Macadamia with White Chocolate Cookie ($7.90) to mark a sweet ending to the year. When you think of Swissbake, you immediately associate them with breads and sandwiches, and you should not cart out the order without their award-winning Stollen ($22.90)!

Peony Jade launched two Christmas Bundles 2021 as well as a-la-carte festive dishes for you to celebrate this Christmas in the comfort of your home, like their Santa’s Bundle Deal - Winter Wonderland ($388) which serves up to 10 pax. This is the way to feast over this festive season. My family loves everything on this menu.

Not one, but two different stuffings in one turkey and it's also deboned(!!). The Double-stuffed Deboned Roast Turkey ($298) from Da Paolo Gastronomia’s selection of festive favorites, available for takeaway and delivery. Beside the turkey, Da Paolo Gastronomia also offers Deboned Roast Chicken ($118). And for the sweets side, they have a signature Tiramisu Party Bowl! ($158)

Savour Publico’s decadent Granchio Fritto ($22), or deep-fried soft shell crab with Tomato Aioli and tangy Salsa Verde, complemented with a bed of Radicchio Caesar salad! For traditionalists, I like their delicious wood-fired Pizza Boscaiola ($30) made of thinly sliced house-made Porchetta topped with porcini mushroom mozzarella, grated parmesan and red wine glaze. Oh, and raise a toast with the special Publico Mulled Wine 😋

Pleasantly surprised with the gnocchi here! Made of sweet potato and buckwheat, the Sweet Potato & Buckwheat Gnocchi ($24) comes with bold colours of purple and yellow and. Each gnocchi is charred as well, which makes it crispy on the outside and soft inside. The gnocchi is not the fluffiest, but I suppose it’s because the dishes here are gluten-free, including this pasta dish. Sauce is a tad watery but so easy to eat with all the grated cheese and mushrooms. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this dish more than I thought I would.

Want something different for an upcoming Xmas gathering? I recommend this Nasi Campur Babi Meriah ($98.88) from Kota88 Restaurant. Inspired by the Nasi Tumpeng Indonesia, a ‘tumpeng’ cone of Hainan Chicken Rice is accompanied by Kota88 Restaurant’s eight signature dishes - from sate babi to siobak and ngo hiang. Its authentic Chinese Indonesian food makes me feel like going back to Indonesia for Nasi Campur. My favourite dish is the Sate Babi - succulent meat glazed with sweet savoury sauce with light char.

Enjoy a whimsical afternoon with Goodwood Park Hotel festive tea sets, especially their Two-tiered Christmas Carousel Set ($66) with both festive sweets and indulgent savoury treats. It’s great for the get-togethers at home, definitely made more fun this festive season with the Circus Carnival and Christmas Tree packaging.

Woodfired Whole Guinea Fowl & Pithivier pie ($66++) - this pithivier pie deserves another post on its own because it’s sooo good.The legs of the guinea fowl make their way into this dome-shaped pastry. Creamy, buttery and tasty!
