Last but definitely not the least among our apps is the aligue gambas with shrimps sitting on the sauce of crab fat

Shrimps are fresh and plump, while the sauce is thick and creamy. Enjoyed this dish, though you might wanna check your cholesterol level after 😋

It’s beautified with garlic confit, coconut, radish, and some coriander

Fresh oysters with spinach, parsley, and mornay and cheese. Loved that the oysters were fresh, but it’s a tad bit salty (from the cheese) for my liking. A squeeze of lemon can save the day though!

Have seen reviews raving about Café Fleur’s crab cakes and gave it a try though we are not crab cake type of diners

What we got were soft yet crusty crab cakes, packed with evenly shredded crab meat, with little to no hint of grease at all (big +++ as this is my main reason for not being too inclined to order it lol). It was served with calamansi aioli and some petite salad

Enjoyed this dish esp with the tangy hint from the aioli, but still not converted to order crab cakes often 😅 I think the price point could be adjusted as well

Kicking off my recent PH trip ~spam~ posts with this butternut squash soup from Café Fleur. Filling soup, served with well-baked foccacia bread on the side

It is hearty and rich (but not the jelak/umay type) with sweetness from the squash. On top are pumpkin seeds, drops of basil oil, and coconut milk/cream froth, all adding the oomph to the soup. Enjoyed this dish a lot that we opted to have it again on our second visit here

Serving is on the bigger side and can be shared by two (see second photo for the halved serving from our second visit)

Have highlighted that it could be served warmer and they delivered on our second visit :)

Striploin served with sourdough, eggs and potatoes. Steak was actually good but having it with the sauce (demi?) pushes it to the salty side

This dish has been upgraded with truffle fries (+$3). Not mine and didn’t get to taste the fish buuuut the fries are good 💯

Enjoyed this light dish of smoked salmon on top of rosti and greens served with two poached eggs. Eggs were runny, smoked salmon is savoury, greens provided a good contrast on the dish. Personally would like to have the rosti a bit more crispier. Serving is a bit small, best to take for brekky or brunch (had it for lunch)

Quite late on this Eggslut hype train, but finally managed to luckily get a seat without queuing. I ordered the Fairfax ($12) which seems to be priced at a higher end if you just think of an egg sandwich. (Directly from the menu), this is a cage-free soft scrambled eggs and chives, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bun.

Being a sucker for creamy eggs, I enjoyed the egg filling a lot. I think that the sriracha mayo upped the taste as well. What I didn’t enjoy, and maybe an unpopular opinion here, is the extremely greasy bun. Yes, it’s warm and very soft, but lol it’s very oily.

I’ve always loved creamy and fluffy scrambled eggs, but this one missed a mark a teeny bit. The Scrambled Eggs dish ($20++) includes eggs topped with aged parmesan (and supposedly truffle paste, but I only tasted/smelled a hint of it), crusted sourdough bread, and salad greens. I wouldn’t reco this for hungry eaters (like I was when I ate) as I had to prolong eating it for distributed digestion (lol) and so I can stay a bit longer 😅😋

Place is very good though. Love the warm lighting and warm service. I would come back but will most likely try a main dish next time :)

Had this Sausage Cheese Swiss Rosti set lunch for $18.90++ (comes with iced lemon tea). Rosti’s seasoning is a bit salty, though I don’t think it had to do with the cheese cause I enjoyed that part a lot 😋 sides were just normal, including the sausage, making it a bit overpriced for me. There were other cheaper set lunch options (from $13.90++) which might be more worth the price.

Ordered a scoop of Earl Grey Lavender as well ($2.90++, special price if you order a set lunch). This has a strong early grey taste which I really liked. Very creamy too.

Place was packed when I came, but it still had a very charming and homey cafe ambience. Would probably come back and stay here for a long time and just eat loads of gelato 😂

Had this set at The Lobby Lounge for our friend’s surprise bridal shower. Offer then was at $35++ per person - very affordable for a high tea set (others were ranging at 60-80++). Place is very quiet and not crowded as well. Good place to hang out with friends :)

I enjoyed the savoury pieces a lot (arranged based on preference lol)
(1) Dill Gravlax with horseradish cream cheese and tobiko pinko - this is a classic combination which didn’t disappint
(2) Beef pastrami with figs and thyme cheese spread - a little salty but balanced by the bread
(3) Cream cheese mushroom and sundried tomato tartlet - actually tied with #2 for me lol. I find the sundried tomato very flavourful but balanced by the pastry as well
(4) Creamy egg and avocado with truffle salsa on brioche

The sweet treats were a tad bit sweet to my liking except for the first one:
(1) Chocolate Royal Hazelnut - love love love this. A bit biased as I really enjoy bitter chocolates
(2) Baked Golden Banana with manjari ganache
(3) Almond peach crumble tart
(4) Raspberry white chocolate mousse

Bacon lover! 🥓 🇵🇭|🇲🇾|🇸🇬|🌎 IG: @reemuuh.eats
