Came for their Cubano Sandwich (A$16) but fell in love with the Tuna Melt Sandwich (A$15) at Nico’s Sandwich Deli instead!
Both sandwiches tasted really good to be honest! Nice and crispy on the outside, and hot and loaded with yummy ingredients inside! Portions were pretty generous too! Just felt that the Tuna Melt had an extra oomph over the Cubano overall! Definitely a good spot to grab some breakfast in Melbourne CBD!

These donuts from Shortstop Coffee & Donuts are seriously good! Here are the flavours we got:
~Rhubarb Brûlée
~Maple Walnut & Brown Butter
~Mexican Hot Chocolate
~Cinnamon, Cardamom & Sugar
Each flavour was yummy in their own way! The donuts were all light and fluffy, and the unanimous favourite among us is the Maple Walnut & Brown Butter Donut. It’s a definite must-try for me here! Even their basic Cinnamon, Cardamom & Sugar Donut is excellent! But don’t just take it from me; even my dad who doesn’t really like donuts enjoyed it so much!
If you’re a donut lover, don’t leave Melbourne without visiting this spot!

Had a really good breakfast at St Ali Coffee Roasters before heading to South Melbourne Market. Here’s what we had:
~My Mexican Cousin (A$29.50)
~Koo Koo Ca Choo (A$28.50)
~St. Ali Hotcake (A$25)
We had a great meal here, and I especially liked the My Mexican Cousin, which is a combination of corn fritters and poached eggs, with halloumi crumb, sweetcorn salsa, kasundi & leaves. Love the mix of flavours from the sauces, and the corn fritters were so good! The Koo Koo Ca Choo (love the crispy potato hash!) and St. Ali Hotcake (crispy & fluffy!) were also yummy! Would definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in Melbourne. I heard their coffee’s good too!

Our first food stop in Melbourne was at Seven Seeds. We tried their popular Waffle Benny (A$21) with additional housemade hash-brown (+A$5). It’s basically an eggs benedict with cheddar waffle and grandma ham. Loved the dish - it had nicely poached eggs with yummy chipotle hollandaise that went well with the cheddar waffle! Big love for their housemade hash-brown too; so crispy & fluffy!
We also ordered a Brioche French Toast (A$20) to share, which had pear & ginger compote, mango gel, vanilla mascarpone, hazelnut praline atop the toast with spiced maple syrup. The various flavours worked well together! I think we left the toast out just a tad too long before we ate, so it got a little soggy but still tasted pretty good!
Not a coffee drinker so won’t be able to comment on that throughout this trip, but overall, I would recommend checking this place out for their food if you’re in the CBD.
