tucked away in a quiet corner of Singapore, this place is perfect if you wish to enjoy a quiet evening with your loved ones. my friend and i ordered the deep fried burrata for starters, hot assam sourdough pizza, mentaiko lemon butter pasta, and the tiramisu for dessert. the flavours were quite innovative and the portions were generous! the deep fried burrata had a lovely golden crust, and the flavours of the cheese, tomato sauce and greens complimented well. i would recommend the mentaiko lemon butter pasta for fishroe lovers, and if you do make a trip there, definitely get the tiramisu - it was brilliant! the overall atmosphere was cosy and the staff were very attentive and sweet so i would recommend going here! the price point per pax would amount to around 30-40!
The dragonfruit was a surprisingly good complement to the yogurt since I've never tried the combination before! However, despite my initial reservations, it was still quite delicious, as well as aesthetically pleasing, when the pink colour of the dragonfruit mixed into the pure white yogurt. It wasn't too sweet, but still quite the treat for those who prefer a healthy alternative to the usual smoothies!
I also tried the Mango Yogurt with Purple Rice. Similar to their signature drink, the purple rice didnβt disappoint. It was chewy and QQ to the touch, providing a good change to the creamy consistency of mango yogurt. We got 50% sugar so it was just nice to our tastebuds. It was really refreshing and hearty, able to be paired with your meals!
I went to One Prawn and Co for dinner with my friend at around 7, and the place was not too crowded, hence there was little/no waiting time. We got seats pretty quickly considering that it was a weekend. There were quite a selection of prawn noodles available and I got the Tobiko Prawn Ball and Prawns set, while my friend got the Shabu Slice Pork and Prawns. The service was quite fast too, and we got our meal within 10 minutes of waiting. The portions were quite big, and very filling overall. I thoroughly enjoyed the prawn claypot - the broth was extremely flavorful, and the noodles were chewy and complemented the claypot broth quite well. The prawns were yummy, although slightly too overcooked to my liking, and the tobiko balls had a unique texture which was to me, OK. The noodles were garnished with vegetables, sambal, and bean sprouts, which added a refreshing crunch and zing to each bite. I ordered the water chestnut drink, which helped to ease the spiciness of the meal in general, and I would recommend it as a good pairing! The overall bill racked up to around 40 dollars for 2 people, which is generally not too pricey in my opinion. The place has general hawker centre vibes, and the servers were really patient and nice. Personally, I enjoyed the meal, and it was a satisfying and food-coma inducing! One drawback is that the place is not too conveniently located and it might be slightly difficult to find it, but its worth a try if you are a big fan of prawn.
