This place probably needs no introduction with its heavy social media presence but I still wanna share that I really love their Fruit Burst! It is such a refreshing thirst quencher! The Matcha Strawberry is Super instagrammable as well but matcha fans be warned, the strawberry in this overpowers the matcha.
One thing to complain about? The takeaway bottle does cap well, I ended with a bag that is soaked in green tea 😢
Where else do you find an air-conditioned cafe with free wifi, electric socket that serves Cha Yen at only $2?!
It also helps that they use an insulated cup that results in a hardly diluted drink for you to nurse while you do your work ◡̈
Instagrammable yet decent drinks, what more could one ask for?
Finally tried brown sugar series drink after seeing it repeatedly 😅 Heard that this one is one of the best around so had this as my first. I like that the brown sugar boba is warm and it goes nicely with the cold milk. However I think this is too jelat after a while, the brown sugar is too sweet for my liking. What’s your take on brown sugar drinks? Let me know! ◡̈
If you are looking for a minty, refreshing thirst quencher, this is the one for you! Love this so much!
Stoked that Aqua S is finally in sg after seeing it umpteen times on Instagram. So stoked that we had actually been there twice already! The girlfriend loves the sea salt one, which is their signature. I don’t because I don’t like salty things on things that are supposed to be sweet 😅 the Taro one from earlier this month was decent but we both agreed that the Ribena flavoured one this time round should be avoided at all costs. It just taste... artificial.
Dirty drinks are all the rage now! But have you had one that features mango before? Find it at @muyoosg! Was really worried that this will be too milky for my liking in the first place but the mango actually balanced it out and the whole drink was akin to a perfectly blended mango milkshake.
.
We also got the Passion Project ($4.50) which is a fruit smoothie consisting of peach, cranberry, passion fruit and calamansi all in a cup! The resulting smoothie was one that was refreshing with sour notes that I personally like!
.
Additionally, students rejoice because you could get these for $2.90 each! And I also spotted a new outlet that is set to be launched soon in Jurong Point. Can’t wait! ◡̈
The bubble tea craze is back after a couple of decades with many different brands invading our tiny island. Bober tea, with its many instagrammable drinks, is one of the latest entrant! .
I really enjoyed the Cheesecapped Matcha with Brown Sugar Pearls; the cheese cap wasn't too creamy and went well with the matcha, making the drink less cloying than it should be. The warm brown sugar pearls added a different context to the drink as well as every sip was a combination of cold drink and warm pearls. .
The Supreme Fruit Red Tea came bursting with ingredients but was too sour for my liking though. Skip the Oolong Milk Tea though, we found it to be way too diluted.
.
Thanks @melmeleats for the invite and @boberteasg for the drinks!
Blessed to have a 7-11 near me that serves Mr Softee! Now I get a chance to taste the childhood snack that I never had. Nothing to shout about here, just simple, old-school, no frills soft serve ◡̈
A really interesting combination this! Who thought that mango sticky rice could go so well on a toast? The sweetness of the mango paired really well with the slightly savoury toast! The sticky rice was also one of the best that I have had. It helps that the shop is helmed by a Thai lady who makes the food as well ◡̈ The Cha Yen ($3) here tastes authentic and is less sweet than expected. Gek Poh is certainly more exciting now as compared to my secondary school days!
Returned from my Guangzhou trip almost a month ago to excited news that there's a new bubble tea outlet at the airport and went to try it excitedly. There was, however, nothing to scream about here. The tea was fragrant, I will give it that but everything else was just flat. Try it if you are at the airport but don't come down specifically for it.
Have you tried the new black soya bean series at @mrbeansg yet? I think this is way better than the usual soya bean ice cream and I'm a fan of the usual one! ◡̈
