perfect dinner place after work came here after work on a weekday night and had a great dinner! the buratta which was creamy and fresh, and the South Grass Fed Ribeye was perfectly complemented with the chimichurri sauce.

cbd finds! went on a weekday dinner with my bf and was not very crowded considering its cbd but more ppl did come in at the later half uh didn’t wanted to get the burrata but it actl turned out really good!! honestly the squid was prob the best it was small and nicely fried - not dry or tough to chew; sauce went amazingly well?? my bf was saying how the steak was actl cooked to his medium rare && thats pretty darn rare these days :” my pasta was good! taste like what u imagine it to HAHAHAH and thankfully not very gao so it was super pleasant to eat everything!! anyw good dinner spot for cozy vibes + not crowded / loud

Eve’s Garden Parfait Satisfied my strawberry parfait craving at the ongoing @kollabdesignstudio //@kenbakekeneat x @arcenciel.sg collab last week (snagged a reservation on the day)! Available till 6 April, the Eve’s Garden Parfait ($33) was simply delish. Rather pricey but fairly understandable with the quality of the layered elements. Starting at the very top is a nutty pistachio dacquoise ring balanced on the rim of the glass, followed by a creamy scoop of Hokkaido milk gelato in the center with yummy lemon earl grey jelly, sweet fresh strawberries, airy cream, pleasantly boozy rosê wine jelly and tangy bold raspberry sauce!

Dim Sum The honey barbecue pork bun with the characteristic pinched top, feels incredibly light and fluffy. The core is a glistening, rich and sticky filling of finely diced barbecued pork in a thick glossy sauce. Yummy ! The noodle comes with tasty deep fried pork belly. The sauce has a harmonious blend of saltiness, sweetness and umami taste that cling to the noodles evenly. The radish cake is crispy on the outside and tenderly soft on the inside, and goes well with the dipping chilli sauce.

Traditional Handmade Hong Kong Dim Aum in CBD Singapore Went for lunch on a weekday! It’s a Dim Sum restaurant located very near Maxwell MRT. The staff were very well-mannered, friendly, and knowledgeable! There was a Lunch Set that was very value for money (refer to photo). It included 1 bowl of paofan + prawn, 5 different dim sums, 1 osmanthus wolfberry jelly, and pu er tea for $24.90!! Very value for money!! The paofan was so fragrant and robust. It was probably the best paofan I’ve ever had! The baked barbecue pork bun was so interesting! It’s not the “cha shao bao” texture we’re used to, but it still hit the spot. The siew mai and har gao were so fresh and had a bite! The osmanthus jelly was a perfect ending to everything. The tea + traditional / Hong Kong-style dim sum really brings you back to Hong Kong! We also got Deep Fried Pork Belly noodles! I’m very picky with my Egg Noodles because I only like the ones found in Hong Kong, and these were exactly the same!! The fried pork belly were so crispy and flavourful as well. The entire dish was a perfect match. It’s not very common to find authentic, handmade, affordable AND delicious Dim Sum in the CBD area! What a great find. I will definitely be back!!

Authentic Hand Made Dim Sum in Maxwell Found this dim sum shop tucked away in the Kada building behind Maxwell MRT, right beside the hawker. Tried the lunch set and it was really good value at $21. The handmade dim sums were the highlight, with the har gao packed with fresh crunchy prawns and the skin wasn't overly thick. The siew mai was bouncy with no overpowering pork taste. The spicy siew mai with prawn paste chilli was a surprise hit with a real punch of flavour. It also came with sides like the baked char siew bao, pan fried dumplings and shrimp wrapped in crispy beancurd skin. I added $3 for 3 huge grilled prawns to the paofan and it really gave the soup a lot of flavour. The hot tea that came with the meal was tied everything nicely as well. The Hongkong style noodles with deep fried pork had great texture and flavour. A great lunch spot and definitely a must try if you are looking for authentic handmade dim sum near Maxwell MRT.

Yuki omakase We had the Yuki Omakase ($200++) at lunch. Most pieces are excellent, especially the tuna appetiser, otoro, uni, and unagi. The rice dish is underwhelming. Very professional service. If we had the omakase with cooked dishes, maybe it would be more at par with other top sushi counters in Singapore.

My Salmon Warrior Experience Ordered the salmon sashimi signature udon for dinner. The sashimi slices were thick and fresh, paired well with wasabi and shoyu. Udon noodles were al-dente and it went perfect with the creaminess of the sous vide egg. Yhe edamame and yakitori sides were a great compliment to the mains too.

Refuelling after a work day Got the Teriyaki Salmon Udon.Hearty and creamy salmon topped with silky and umami udon. Loved every bite!

Salmon warrior Chanced upon this shop and ordered some dishes to try out. Mentaiko sauce was the star of the dishes and it pairs really well with the chikcen yakitori as well as the salmon! Great option when you want to have a quick lunch or dinner as the waiting time for the food was quick!

Amazing marinated pork ribs! We ordered their ribeye and marinated pork ribs for the grill, and an omelette fried rice and cheese potato jeon. Their marinated pork ribs was amazing. The meat was tender and and tasty! This was one of the best kbbq pork we've tried. The cheese potato jeon was rich, but such a comfort food to have. Have it while its hot and you'll get a cheese pull out of it. It was nice to sit at the counter to enjoy our meal while their stafff assisted in grilling the meats.

Dinner Date @ The House Chungdam Went to The House Chung Dam for KBBQ, near my office area and it was a really good experience overall. We had the ribeye and the marinated pork rib (the pork rib was the highlight for me) super flavorful, really tender, and honestly didn’t even need sauce. The ribeye was decent too, but for the price I expected a bit more in terms of portion. We also tried the cheese-potato jeon, which I thought was such a clever dish. Kind of like a thick rosti pancake stuffed with spam and cheese, heavier than I expected but very tasty. The omelette fried rice was flavorful and quite filling. Between those two dishes we were pretty full before even finishing the BBQ. The sides were solid, especially the egg salad and marinated onions. We ended up asking for extra because they were that good. Service was great too!! the chef cooked the meat for us and got it just right, so we just got to sit back and enjoy.

great food and excellent service Had set 1 cold noodles and cheese potato jeon. Will definitely return just to eat the cold noodles as well as the squid ban chan!

Herbal soup for the soul For a soup lover like myself, this restaurant hit the spot! We ordered the Cordycep Chicken and Fish Maw soups, which were packed with herbal flavour. We initially ate the soups together with the yam rice, but realised that the rice was seriously underrated as a standalone dish, especially when paired with the chilli sauce. The side dishes were impressive as well, and shows how well-rounded this restaurant is. The Jade Tofu was silky smooth with a crispy crust, while the Omelette was fluffy without being too oily, and topped with fragrant pickled radish. Overall, a great choice for those looking for their herbal soup fix!

Good Herbal Soup I dropped by Tan Ser Seng Herbal Soup for weekend lunch and it was packed with both locals and tourists. Every table had their signature dishes like the radish omelette, prawn rolls, jade tofu, and of course the herbal soups. I tried the cordyceps flower kampung chicken soup and loved how the broth was rich and smooth without being too heavy. The chicken was tender and fell right off the bone, and the jade tofu was crispy outside, soft inside, and great with the sweet-spicy sauce. It is a must-go place for nourishing soups and nostalgia flavours of home-cooked meals.

Heartwarming Herbal Soups This place was amazing! I got the white chicken and fish maw soups and they were so delicious. The fish maw soup was so rich and tasty, and the chicken was basically fall off the bone. Besides the soups, the side dishes were amazing as well. I really recommend getting the prawn roll. Also, the service here was really good. The staff were so attentive, and they gave us a free refill of the fish maw soup. I’ll definitely want to come back here again! (Esp since it’s so convenient and near Aljunied MRT)

Matcha Parfait ($5.80) tbh I didn't know why they served dessert but then by right should be served later. 👀 but matcha taste just quite normal and milky and creamy a bit. But warabi mochi was quite harden and not that chewy type.

Lunch Deals ~ consisted of fried and non-fried ebi sushi; unagi and salmon sushi. Good deal for lunch time so like u can order bundle w drink and dessert.

Tamago w Mentaiko Sauce ($2.90) mentakio sauce didn't complemented well with tamago tbh.

interesting pizza flavours! rly gotta give it to them for their pizzas - rly fluffy & soft crust that doesn't feel like a chore to chew or cut, and will have u unable to stop eating the calories. had the surf's pizza which had smoked salmon & dill & wowww the combi was js chef's kiss !!!! unfortunately the vodka sausage pasta was abit of a miss for me :-( not sure why but the texture was mildly crunch?y? but the flavour was ok! meat was pretty generous too~

Wagyu Beef! Came here for lunch! Got the Wagyu Pizza($32), Hamburg Set($23.80), Striploin Sando($52), Gyu Tongue, Chawamushi($5), Ebi Sando($28). Wagyu pizza was good. Thinly slice waygu over a crispy base, topped with refreshing ginger flower and drizzled with truffle oil. Hamburg Set was ok. The salad is your typical vegetable with some kewpie dressing. The meat was not bad. Moist, juicy and soft but wished it was crispy on the outside. Striploin Sando was good. Perfectly cooked meat with some mustard in between two fluffy yet crispy bread. Gyu Tongue was a little on the tough side. Chawamushi was bad. Did not have any dashi taste. Tasted like your regular steamed egg that you can get from a cai fan stall. Totally not worth my $5. Ebi Sando was not bad. Crispy prawn patty with tartar sauce that reminded me of McDonald's ebi burger. Overall would recommend the beef but skip the other items.

Japanese Charcoal Grilled Hamburg The signature Gyu San Hamburg Set ($23.80) comes with two 90g wagyu patties, Japanese rice, miso soup and green salad. The beef patties were served on top a personal mini grill with charcoal blocks underneath it to keep the meat warm. Savouring the pure flavour of the patties on their own, they were the juiciest and most tender hamburger that I ever had. There was a nice smoky charred flavour from the sizzle of the grill.

Hamburg Set With a pretty concise menu, Gyu San Charcoal Bar’s Hamburg Set ($23.80) was quite the substantial treat - great for slow and big eaters who can fill up with the free-flow rice as well as miso soup. Expertly grilled over the binchotan charcoal grill and served on a personal mini grill to keep them warm, the two 90g wagyu patties were both tender, succulent and juicy. Packed with finely diced onions and other seasonings, the patties were also wonderfully flavoured and especially so with the charred exterior. Overall, great even without the small array of condiments and not too greasy or cloying.
