𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 ($𝟴.𝟱𝟬) We also got their 𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 ($𝟴.𝟱𝟬) made with their 𝗛𝗼𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗼 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝗶 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸, which had deep and rich chocolate flavour, and was very creamy and delicious. . The vibes at Baristart Coffee are perfect for any cafe day. Although the prices may be high, their cream puffs are surely of a high standard too - and they are a must get for anyone coming down for a try. We’d definitely be back for round two!

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝘂𝗳𝗳 (𝟭 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟳, 𝟯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟭𝟵.𝟱𝟬) Baristart is known for having one of the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 cream puffs and we came here for our tea break a while back to try their January seasonal special: 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝘂𝗳𝗳 (𝟭 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟳, 𝟯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟭𝟵.𝟱𝟬). The moment we took our first bite, we instantly regretted not getting a box of 3. The cream puff looked like a fist sized crater, lightly dusted with matcha powder. When we cut into the puff, it revealed the most vibrant green matcha cream that just 𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗲𝗱 out. The matcha cream had a 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 which balanced out the sweetness from the cream, we just couldn't get enough of it. .

Vermicelli with Pork Shank, Fried Egg, Prawn, Vegetables & Vietnamese Special Sauce ($32.90++) A generous plate featuring tender pork shank, bouncy prawn, and sliced egg, arranged beautifully around vermicelli noodles. Fresh vegetables provide crunch and balance, while the Vietnamese special sauce delivers rich, spicy, and savoury depth. Served with rice paper and a misting spray, letting you wrap up the ingredients for a fun and interactive dining experience. Bold flavours, tastisfying textures, and a playful way to enjoy your meal.

Fresh Oyster ($1.90++/pcs) Oh my… this is fantastic! Fresh, big, plump, and briny, delivering that perfect slurp-worthy bite. Just the way I like it. And affordable too, great value for such quality!

Stir-Fried Cockles with Garlic ($10.90++) Small but plump cockles stir-fried with fragrant garlic, delivering a bold, aromatic punch. The garlicky richness enhances the briny sweetness of the cockles, making each bite intensely flavourful. A simple yet tastisfying dish for seafood lovers who appreciate deep umami notes with a touch of wok hei. However, the sprinkled pork rind was disappointing, as it had "lao feng" and lacked the expected crispness.

An authentic fest with crayfish!! Absolutely feaaaasted on the crayfish!! Loved both the mala and garlic flavour hehe the meat just came right off the shell! Sooo fresh 🫶 Also really enjoyed their refreshing (big) jug of drink and jelly! Pro tip: ask for ice cubes to keep them chill hehe Their other dishes were also very fragrant, and well balance of veges and meat! Fav was the tofu one hehe They have super gorgeous and well decorated private rooms also - some are HUGE omg two huge tables in 1 room! So yall can book for work or important meetings too~ Come and give it a try~ less than 5 min walk from bugis mrt

Very taste set lunch Reminds me of hunan days! Love the stir fry pork alot and the portion is generous! The cabbage is a very unique flavour (peanutty) and it’s very crunchy as well! Definitely a good mix of meat, vege and tofu. A good try 💯

Great vaule lunch set! Su Hang Xiang Ban’s lunch set for two offers great variety and balance. The Golden Hunan Stir-fried Pork with Chili was savoury with a gentle heat, while the Tofu and Shrimp Pot came in a light, umami-rich broth. Qinlong cabbage provided a clean, crunchy contrast, and the premium rice held everything together nicely. Drinks included the Internet-famous Kumquat Lemon Tea and Grape Mulberry Juice—both refreshing and not too sweet. The set ended with ice jelly, a light and cooling finish. At $35.80 before service and GST, it’s a well-rounded meal that’s filling without being heavy.

Chill Vibes, Great Food Cool spot with chill vibes, set right in the middle of greenery. The cocktails are super creative and the food hits the spot! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Piña Colada ($18++) A tropical mix of light rum, coconut cream, pineapple, and lime, intended to deliver a smooth, creamy, and refreshing taste. However, it was a letdown, as the coconut and pineapple flavours felt negligible.

LOVED THE WARM MAKIS So glad we chose this place for dinner! The makis were warm but surprisingly good and comforting! The beef was tender and everything had a good balance of flavours.

salmon Teriyaki Grilled Salmon was a pleasant surprise – perfectly grilled with a slightly crispy skin and soft, flaky meat inside. The teriyaki sauce added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the natural flavour of the salmon. Chicken Tori Yaki was also well done. The skewers were juicy, nicely charred, and full of flavour. Great texture and a smoky finish made it really enjoyable.

Teriyaki chick don The Teriyaki Chick Don was delicious and value for money. The chicken was tender and well-coated in a sweet and savoury sauce, served over sushi rice. The Chicken Tori Yaki skewers were juicy with a nice grilled flavour. Lightly charred and well-seasoned.

Lovely dinner at Ingleside Had a lovely dinner at Ingleside! The whole vibe was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch—especially from Mateo, who was friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. The rest of the staff were also kind and made us feel at home. We started with sourdough bread and Ingleside’s seasonal fermented butter. The bread was crusty and chewy, and the butter had a unique tangy flavour that really stood out—simple but done really well. For mains, we had the Atlantic Octopus and the Lampino Iberico Chuletero. The octopus was tender and nicely charred, while the Iberico pork was juicy, rich, and full of flavour—definitely a highlight. You could tell the ingredients were high quality and treated with care. We also tried the in-house fermented ice lemon tea, which was super refreshing. It had a slightly sour, fizzy kick that made it way more interesting than a regular iced tea. Overall, Ingleside delivered a well-rounded dining experience—great food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a special meal. Thanks to Mateo and the team for making it such an enjoyable evening!

Ingleside Had an amazing dinner at Ingleside Singapore! The star of the night? The Wagyu Picanha. Insanely juicy, rich, sweet and cooked to perfection. A perfect bite with the shallots and a touch of salt. Chill vibes, great service. Highly recommend!

Fermentation Done Right Had dinner at Ingleside and I’m still thinking about their Wagyu Picanha. One of the best steaks I’ve had, it was juicy, tender and had this subtle sweetness. Paired with some roasted banana shallots, it's a very addictive dish.

29 May 25 - The House Chungdam Went on a lovely evening with my partner as we were craving for a good Kbbq. Chanced upon The House Chungdam with its modern vibes and interior. We chose The House Feast for 2. Big variety of the side dishes and the meat portions were generous. Super solid service with the waiter grilling the meat for us and constantly checking to see if we needed anything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for K BBQ in town!

Not your usual KBBQ! Chic and Elegant KBBQ Experience! ✨ Usually when you think of KBBQ its greasy, oily and overall messy. But here? They keep the clean aesthetics of the place but still satisfying ur cravings for a good hearty meal of KBBQ! They stay true to the authentic korean bbq and serve delicious homemade ssamjang and doenjang but with a more elegant and chic aesthetic. Perfect for when you're all dressed up for a date, craving for kbbq, but don't want that oily stench following you around after the meal. They also make sure everything is bitesized and easy to eat so you don't have to worry about things getting messy. Really nice place to visit for a sweet KBBQ date or even a family dinner~ Me and my friend had ordered the pork set which includes soft egg, soybean paste soup and all the complimentary sides which are all refillable. We requested for them to cook the meat for us and they did it with so much grace. It was a beautiful experience dining here. The meat was delicious and I must mention the soybean paste soup that came with the set was amazing! The soup was concentrated but doesn't feel too thick and is very palatable. They are also very generous with the ingredients in the soup and full of flavour. Plenty of the sauces are homemade as well like their ssamjang, salad sauce and kimchi. They had some very interesting choices from their menu and even though the pork set would have been plentiful enough, my and my friend decided to try their bibim mandu and potato cheese jeon. I especially loved how creative the bibim mandu is! It is literally a bowl just like bibimbap but the rice is changed into ricecake and the intention is to eat all the ingredients together like you would with bibimbap. It felt like eating a wholesome bite of bibimbap in one mouth. The chewy texture of the ricecake really adds to the dish and i'd recommend everyone to give it a try! 😋 The potato cheese jeon is also really delicious with every bite full of crispy potato + cheesy goodness + luncheon meat to give you that extra flavour! It was definitely worth the order. Overall, me and my friend had a great time visiting The House of Chungdam with their elegant and welcoming atmosphere. Food was delicious and mess-free as well. Would definitely visit again with my family next time😊

Exquisite KBBQ Experience had a wonderful dinner with my friend the other day, the service here is great and welcoming, the staff directed us to our seats and served us promptly ! we ordered set 3 of the house feast and were pleasantly surprised that it came with a variety of dishes such as their soy bean soup and steamed eggs, which i find is pretty worth the price ! i especially enjoyed their soup as it was bursting with nourishing flavours and it tasted so homely. they also prepared a variety of condiments and vegetables to go with the perfectly cooked meat, not only were they homemade, they tasted scrumptious too, and the fact that we were able to ask for refills was a plus too as we found ourselves asking for seconds, especially the lettuces drowned in their tasty homemade sauce ! We ordered their Cheese-Potato Jeon and their Bibim Mandoo as well. These two were my personal favourites of the night, they were incredibly flavourful. The Cheese-Potato Jeon was fried to perfection, they were really generous with the cheese filling which I really love, with every bite got me wanting more of it even though it was quite filling after the first piece. The Bibim Mandoo was something new but I enjoyed the sweet and chewy texture of it. Will definitely be ordering these again when I come back in the future !

Mongolian Pork Ribs Possibly my favourite dish here. In addition to my earlier review, the meat this time was such quality.

Chilli Crayfish Their this sauce is spicy, if that's how you like it. The crayfish was meaty enough, although sizes can vary.

Cheese Crab The cheese sauce was heavenly, possessing a sweet note. Order this for the sauce, not butter crab, which is dry.

Salmon Ebi Fry Maki You can't go wrong with this combi. Ebi, salmon, mayo, ikura.

Steamy Goodness Dropped by Souperb for a hearty, homely meal and was pleasantly impressed. The pear pork ribs soup was warm, clean-tasting and subtly sweet from the pear and white fungus. The minced bean paste steamed fish was impeccably done. Tender, flaky and melt-in-your-mouth, with a savoury bean paste sauce that paired perfectly with the delicate fish. The steamed vegetables were simple but spot-on — fresh, crisp and lightly seasoned with soy sauce, finished with a sprinkle of fragrant fried shallots. Despite the long queue, food was served quickly after ordering. A solid go-to for an affordable, fuss-free and comforting meal. Matcha Latte (Hot - $2.50) So matcha latte I didn't expected to see inside hawker centre and told myself not ordering drink so it's gotta be part of drink collection also. So I think the drink taste like jasmine green tea latte but then taste quite sweet and not worth it to try :)

Hakka Leipopo 客家擂茶 First time trying this Hakka Lei Cha 擂茶饭. $8.30 for this set with 3pcs YongTaoFu. Quite nice, especially the YTF!

Best Prawn Noodles Ever!! Was in the area yesterday and decided to visit Zhup Zhup with my partner for dinner! Everything looked so delicious that we over-ordered! Hahaha. I got a DIY prawn noodles bowl where I was given a choice to select the type of noodles, spicy or non-spicy, soup or dry, and even my choice of toppings! I chose yellow noodles and soup, accompanied by pork shabu and clams! The broth was very thick and strong, yet light on the palate! I really enjoyed it. We also got Har Chiong Gai (Prawn Paste Chicken) and some ngoh hiang! Everything was seasoned and fried well! Really enjoyed my meal here. Will definitely be back for more dinners!!

Best place to visit for prawn noodle lovers Got the DIY dry spicy noodles with prawns and pork ribs and I loved it. The soup was packed with prawn flavour and it being served in a claypot kept it warm throughout the meal. The har cheong gai wings were super addictive and it was the best I’ve had. Ngoh hiang platter had lots of variety, and the prawn cracker + tofu stayed crispy!

Prawn noodle I tried the Build Your Own Prawn Noodle and was pleasantly surprised. The broth was the star of the show—rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. It had just the right balance of sweetness and umami, making every sip comforting and addictive. The ability to customize the ingredients was a nice touch, allowing me to tailor the bowl to my preferences. Overall, a hearty, delicious meal that I’d happily order again. Highly recommended for prawn noodle lovers! Ngoh Hiang is a must try too! Crispy on the outside
