Lovely desserts [FARRER PARK, SINGAPORE] Found another quality Chinese dessert cafe that I will be back again to try out many more of their selections 😍 They are famous for their roasted milk tea, which we got the Osmanthus 🌼 version ($13.90). It may seem expensive, but 1 pot can feed about 2-3 pax. This is meant to drink hot, and you can really taste the amount of quality ingredients in this. It was strong yet fragrant, with just a slight sweetness. At first I wasn't really drawn to the tea, but it slowly grew on me as I appreciated the fresh tea flavours. If you are not a tea person, fret not as they have great desserts too. One of their famous ones is their Taro Mochi 🍠🍡 ($6.90). You might be thinking about mochi balls, but it's actually the velvety, smooth yet slightly chewy white layer on top. Digging into this reveals a bed of orh nee which was not too sweet and was smooth as well. I'm glad that their desserts lean towards being less sweet, which is great knowing it's not too sinful to have their desserts. Can't wait to come back to try more items! 🤤

Strawberry Souffle Strawberry Souffle ($16) - Light and not overly eggy or sweet, the stack of soufflé pancakes was wonderfully fluffy. The cream was airy too and matched nicely with the sweet fresh strawberries and sauce. The popping bobas/toppings offered a fun touch as well with the added textures and flavour.

Rock Tea Roasted Milk Tea Slow Weekday Tea Break at Lantine! [Yay, there was no queue on a late Thursday afternoon] Rock Tea Roasted Milk Tea ($13.90) - Aromatic and deliciously balanced, the classic concoction came highly recommended and understandably so. And as one that usually orders hot milk tea, I enjoyed that their blend was none too sweet or milky. The signature roasted drink was also smooth and belly-warming.

Homefare for the soul Some homely tastes here with nourishing dishes - my favourite is the deep fried sea bass in superior soy that is crisp at the right parts and tears apart softly too. The chicken in mushroom broth was comforting and is a feast of mushroom. Chicken was tender and does pair well with their special chili. The Nanping noodles was good and tasted like home, like a treasure trove with clams, prawns, and even bits of scallops. Ofc the indispensable xiaolongbao 👍 Overall, will come back!

Bento Set This was a surprisingly good find at the nearby mall. Would have never tried this if not for 2HA.

Seafood Lor Mee 海鲜卤面($9.90) 📍The Good Trio 三人行, Thomson Plaza Big portion, enough for two to share. But delicious and thick broth, springy noodles, and generous seafood portions.

Hokkien Cuisine 2023 Team Lunch @ Bugis Junction. Hokkien cuisine. Food Verdict: Good 👍

BBQ Twin Combination Platter I order their roast almost every time I'm here. Superb.

Hong Kong Kailan with Twin Sausages Pairing two types of sausages was interesting.

Wasabi Prawns I don't like wasabi, but this was acceptable.

Cai Fan ($5.60) I just enjoy their serving to be huge even though I just order 4 x sides (mostly like meats) hence it was really quite expensive tbh. Their food was not bad quality and quite delicious but slightly oily. A lot of people queue for their cai fan during lunch time.

Angelica Roast Duck Our go to place whenever we crave Angelica Roast Duck. The other dish we like is Thai Lemon Fried Baby Kailan. But this price is getting more and more expensive every year. Maybe that’s why the place is no longer as crowded as before. I can’t even remember when was the last time I had to queue to get a table at meal times.

Fish Maw Soup (diners Set For 4) One of the better Fish Maw soups ive had, this gooey mix had enough umami and amazing variation in texture from the Small bits of seafood mixed in

Quarter Duck (diners Set For 4) Good as always, with a little crisp on the skin. Portion is a little Small for 4 though, each person gets only 3 or 4 pieces

Herbal Duck! Awesome dinner with #dianxiaoer! Miss the herbal duck! But i still prefer the jb ya wang herbal duck! Making do with dianxiaoer during this shutdown! The fish is recommended too!

Family Favourites A few of the family favourite dishes that's always ordered: Marmite chicken, Herbal roasted duck, Nai Bai in egg white broth and my personal favourite, the stir-fried seafood bee hoon (fried with lots of wok-hei 🙌🏻😌).

Sunday Family Dinner Roasted duck, Marmite chicken, Chinese spinach and Ee-fu mian: the typical dishes my family always orders. Never fails to disappoint. ☺️
