Inasal na Panga As for the mains, we got the Inasal na Panga ($36). It might not seem like much but the charcoal-grilled maguro jaw was well-marinated and meaty - succulent and tender flakey flesh with a smokey crisp crackling skin. Love the slightly fatty bits and you can’t miss the sauce on the side (chef’s kiss). Prepared with annatto, calamansi, ginger and lemongrass oil, the dish also includes a refreshing house-made watermelon atsara to counter the richness.

Buko Pie The Buko Pie ($15) fared a little better in my opinion. Crowned with a sizeable dollop of delicate whipped coconut cream, the flaky crust pie was filled with a deliciously fragrant coconut filling and savoury piquant parmesan shavings as well as crumbles which came together very nicely. Ideal for those who go nuts for coconuts.

Manam’s Crispy Palabok I am not familiar with Filipino cuisine so I can’t exactly rate the authenticity but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Hayop! Though portions for all the dishes are generally pretty small for the price. Sticking to the recommended dishes, one of the small plates to get was the Manam’s Crispy Palabok ($27). Doused in a steaming, tantalising shrimp and annatto sauce, the crisp deep-fried glass noodles tower was yummy and slurpy (kinda chewy). Savoury and umami with the sweetness of the sea, I especially liked the fun textured chunks of charred baby cuttlefish, tiger prawns, tinapa flakes, garlic and chicharon.

Miso Mushroom Noodles, Veggie Mandu and Sparkling Water Lunch Deal ($17) included 8% GST and 10% Service Charge Miso Mushroom Noodles, Veggie Mandu and Sparkling Water Finally I got the chance to try this since last year but I was slightly full to eat so I passby the area and decided to hop in for lunch deal instead. They got a variety of dumplings to choose from the menu but the noodle and drink wise got less choice as their specality was dumpling. I wanted to try their special dumplings like fried pierogi's high recommended for people also but I just stick usual ones such as original or veggie. Veggie Mandu just slightly oily for me and also their sauce already dipped with dumplings while serving. But the fillings inside the dumplings got a lot of ingredients and just nice for the serving. Miso Mushroom Noodles I felt in my opinions like dry noodle with mushrooms and meats but people was really high recommended for this. I almost cannot eat noodle finish as the sauce for the noodle was a bit strong taste for me. I just stick to their dumplings instead of their noodles tbh next time.

Date night idea! [TELOK AYER, SINGAPORE] Ok people I think I found your next date night location! With great Japanese fusion food and free flow quality @hinemos_singapore sake, you're in for a treat! Let's start off with appetisers, and please please order their Shokupan 🍞 ($15)! The bread was so fluffy and slightly crispy on the outside. Pair this with their in-house kombu and garlic butter and you will be having probably one of the best bread you've had. For mains, their Wagyu Ichibo 🥩 ($58) or Iberico Pork Rack ($48) are good choices, but their Pork Rack was such a good surprise as the meat was so tender and marinated so well. The chef was right to be confident enough to not give any sauce, as it was flavourful on its own. The potatoes were very well executed too! Their Wagyu Ichibo can be abit more tough than expected but the meat flavour was divine ✨ For desserts, the homemade Nama Chocolate 🍫 ($8) was absolutely decadent with rich quality chocolate flavours. This can be quite surfeiting so do share this! Probably the main highlight was their sake ($80 free flow) 😍 they were probably one of the best tasting and smoothest sakes I've had. My favourites were the Yoji (citrus lemon) that was refreshing and Hachiji (cloudy) that tasted like Calpis! I'm not a big drinker myself, but I was surprised to know that I had 6 glasses that night 😆 Thank you @eatwithkeat for the invite and @moment_singapore for the wonderful meal 😍

SEAFOOD PASTA Al-dente pasta tossed with garlic & shallot in crustacean bisque; sauce is flavorful & well-coated every strand of noodles; came with crabmeat, tiger prawn & asari clams; seafood are fresh, especially the prawns which are firm & crunchy..

Pork Rib’s Lamien I was walking around looking for what lunch to grab and saw this noodle stall at the end row of the food centre on second level with a queue. 三好骨汤面 (San Hao Gu Tang Mian) is a Chinese noodle stall with a few options to choose from. I went for their pork rib’s noodle that you can choose either go with the original soup or mala soup. The original soup is very tasty and sweet. Comes with generous pork ribs pieces on it.

Really Spicy Order this Aromatic Chicken ($6.50) from this stall called Spicy Wife and understand why is it call that now. The sambal is really spicy and the chicken is like Malay style with lots of herbs. Overall, is good but $6.50 is bit too much to handle on a daily basis

Generous Meat Ordered the beef noodle soup ($6.50) from Pho Hanoi and I like the generosity of beef & soup. Really worth it. Will not mind to try more

Iberico Pork Secreto This cut was really chewy and enjoyable. Better than the normal pork. But I must flag the service here was quite poor. It's a bunch of young men who behaved more like bros than waiters. They generally ignored us and were quite brusque.

Banchan Gochujang broccoli, fishcake, tau gey, kimchi, radish, tofu. They also provide liquid egg and barley tea. We ordered the omma oppa set (unpictured). The sliced beef was the best meat. Pork and chicken were ordinary. Army stew was decent. Also unpictured but the pancakes were some of the best I've tried. But I must flag the service here was quite poor. It's a bunch of young men who behaved more like bros than waiters. They generally ignored us and were quite brusque.

Crispy Pancake, comforting soups Loved the vibes in this Korean BBQ restaurant, as it gave quite a retro vibe and the food here is not bad too! We didn't feel like eating Korean BBQ, and we settled for a Half Half Pancake ($26) and a Seafood Tofu Soup ($16). The Half Half Pancake came really huge, definitely to be shared among at least 5 people! The best part is that it has a beautiful crispy crust that is so addictive! However, the taste of the kimchi for the kimchi pancake was quite light, and the seafood within the seafood pancake was chopped up way too finely 😂 The Seafood Tofu Soup was very comforting, and we were glad that it isn't too spicy. It came pretty generous with ingredients too! There were quite a few varieties of side dishes as well. Will be back to try their meats!

Very good Prawn Noodles A really good Hokkien Prawn Noodles stall. Nowadays you can hardly find prawn noodles with intestines or liver. This stall has it. Arrived at 11am and there was hardly any queue. Ordered their pork rib liver intestines prawn noodles, bee hoon with yellow noodles. At $7.00, it’s a bit expensive but being such a rare find, I thought it was worth the splurge. I did ask the stall owner if it was possible to ass pig tail but he replied that I probably cannot finish the portion as they will add a whole tail. Maybe next time I’ll just order a portion with only tail meat. The chilli sauce went well with the noodles after you give it a good stir to coat every strand. Not too spicy, just fragrant with a little bit of sweetness. Liver was a bit over cooked but the intestines was soft with no funky taste. The pork ribs were choice cuts with good mix of fatty and lean pork. Prawns were mid sized tail on and fresh by its crunchiness. Special mention for the soup. It was full of umami and the taste of prawns. Not too salty from soy sauce, you’d want to drink it all. Overall a very good prawn noodle. The queue was getting quite long by the time I left, satisfied and happy.

Lunch Sets lunch sets were very value for money!! $16 and you get to choose a soup and a meat hot plate… love the beef and pork, not so for the chicken. as for the soup, my favourite will be the kimchi soup and the seafood tofu soup!! added a seafood and kimchi pancake separately and it was so good!’n

Korean Meats Had their Set Menu which cost $180++. High quality of meat which I find expensive but good for special occasion.

Perfect evening here [TELOK AYER, SINGAPORE] If you fancy a good evening night out with good food and drinks, look no further as @gotti.sg got it handled. Splendid food, really good cocktails and entertaining bartenders and servers really made our evening here. Being an Italian restaurant, Gotti executed their risotto and pizzas really well. Risotto Al Granchio 🦞 ($32) boasts a really delicious lobster bisque with bits of crabmeat that provided additional sweetness. There was the slight bite to the risotto that I was looking for too! Pesto E Burrata 🌿 ($36) pizza was a delight as well, with a fluffy chewy crust that was so well seasoned, and a pesto & burrata flavour combination that was rich and aromatic. As for starters, Ceviche Di Capesante 🐚($32) was really refreshing with tangy, sweet and savoury flavours all coming through from the yuzu dressing, scallops and ikura. You can try to ask for their current hidden menu, which was their Beef Tartare 🐮 at that point of time. It was so fresh too! Desserts can't be skipped here, with their Tiramisu 🍰 ($18) being a lovely end to the meal. They don't go easy with the liqueur in this, which made it so satisfying 😋 Their cocktails are definitely a speciality here, with the bartenders being so skillful. Their Old Fashioned 🥃 ($22) was really one of the best I've had, with the whisky blending so well with the cinnamon flavours. They can even do bespoke drinks, which is an experience to try 😍 They have speciality event nights with DJs playing running across several days in a week too... Gah there's just too many reasons to come here 🥹 Everyone in the @gotti.sg team was so lively, and you can see their passion in their job through the food, drinks and service. Can't wait to be back for a good evening again. Thank you @gotti.sg for the invite 😍

Gambero Alla Marinara | $32 Loved the flavours from this seafood pasta. The lobster bisque and brandy combination was impeccable - so savoury and umami but very light on the plate. Also, a very good amount of black tiger prawns. The choice of linguine pasta really gave that slurpy goodness. Couldn’t have enough of this! Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Guanciale di Manzo | $32 Fusilli with a Wagyu beef cheek ragu that was slow cooked for 12 hours with red wine. You can taste the richness of the sauce together with the tender meat chunks in the ragu. Personally not a fan of short pasta like fusilli but it complemented everything perfectly, considering the thicker consistency of the sauce. If you’re a fan of meat based and red sauce pasta, this is one you can’t miss. Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Double Scoop Mondo: the new gelato bar on Amoy Street to look out for 🍨 Double ($10) Piedmont Hazelnut - Full and balanced flavour of hazelnuts in a deliciously creamy, aromatic scoop. Fine, robust, and fragrant with an almost buttery, luxe mouthfeel. Chèvre & Pumpkin Custard - A fairly delicate number; mixing the lightly sweetened and spiced pumpkin puree with the mild, savoury French cheese base. Pleasant and unique - enjoyed the cinnamon-ish aftertaste. Sicilian Pistachio - Classic, can-do-no-wrong, yummy rendition. Think lingering and pronounced nutty notes, indulgent without being overly heavy. Toasted White Choc & Strawberries - Love the swirls of tangy-sweet, vibrant berries with the not-too-sweet white chocolate base. The added caramel-y/toasty flavour of the white chocolate was a very nice touch~
