mochi mochi couverture chocolate ($2.50) one of my favs! has little pockets of melty chocolate all throughout the bread that’s always a pleasant surprise. also has a slight orange flavour

mochi mochi cheese (2.80) bread was so chewy and bouncy yumz and the little cubes of cheese were SO tasty. only problem is that they’re all clustered tgt like this so i had to ration them myself, but there was q a lot of cheese which made the bread heavy (worth!!)

Toroniku Tonkotsu Ramen I prefer toroniku, which is pork jowl. Apart from that, I hate So Ramen and this bowl proved it. It's same level as Ajisen.

Ice Kacang Desserts in this food court were surprisingly cheap.

Pickled Lotus Root New stall in on the claypot trend with a twist - the dishes are PRC-inspired. Stallholder was very nice but flustered as the only staff. This free side dish was bigger than expected. It's fine albeit hard.

We had a tough time deciding, because they have many interesting dishes. We ordered this partly because it's safe. The meat was tender and the tofu was nice to have. There's a bit more ingredients beneath, your typical China stuff. Maybe my only gripe is it's not that umami?

Tamago with Cheesy Masago Promotional item. Masago is just another type of fish roe. This combo can't go wrong.

Takoyaki Takoyaki has that characteristic of being so ordinary yet when needed is so powerful. Here it offers variety from the sushi and suddenly so yummy haha.

Crabstick Nigiri Better than mock crabsticks and that's all I wish for.

Beef & Salmon Bowl With onsen egg. This is my favourite combo, but I'm reminded the beef can be really mediocre haha.

Spicy Ebi This is the new spicy ebi. The taste is pretty good. The spicy mayo is spicy and creamy. They are also generous enough to give 5 prawns. The only gripe is the prawns batter is alittle soft.

Beef Tendon Bowl ($7.90) I decided to give this new rice bowl a go instead of my usual beef bowl from Yoshinoya and boy, was I disappointed. The tendon was so bland but thank goodness it was served with an onsen egg, which was probably the only redeeming factor. I struggled to finish this. Do yourself a favour and opt for their signature beef bowls.

Ramen egg Ah what a yummy find. Umi sushi's ramen egg is pretty well made. Check out that nice creamy yolk. It's pretty decent considering the fact that Umi sushi isn't a specialty ramen stall just the neighborhood hole in the wall sushi. Their udon might be ordinary but at least the egg is nice.

Good and Decent Bento For $12.90 the bento is pretty good and decent. The salmon and chicken are tender. The rice is warm and soft. The even have the mini sides. I enjoyed the mash potato.

Cucumber Lemonade I file this under buffets but it's not free-flow actually. Drinks here are ala carte. But I'm glad I discovered this awesome drink!

Tonkotsu & Yuzu Collagen Soups Obscenely cheap if you come for lunch. Such buffets are decent if you just want shabu meat. I don't like hotpots but I have a soft spot for sukiyaki. Both bases were fine since they're the rich kind.

Aburi Keisen Don Donburi King is a Japanese restaurant in nex popular for their rice bowl topped with overflowing ingredients. If you love fresh seafood then you would like this, as it comes with tuna and salmon in one combo. You may use the additional plate to eat, if you find the bowl having too many things on it.

Truffle Oil French Fry($4.90) Give a 5-star review on Google and you will get this dish free. Well... Honestly, a good marketing tactic. Even if they do not have this campaign, I will still give them full score for food and service cause it really pleasant to dine in there.

Fresh Oyster(6 pcs)($24)😋 The King then invited me to a chilly slurpy meet-up with the Fresh Royal Oyster family from Canada. Golden sassy lemon wedges and zesty savoury sauce were given as gifts by the King. It was a happy occasion for the Oysters.

Genki Sushi had a few plates of sushi with friends, total cost ~$15 for 4 plates. the quality of the fish is quite fresh and more importantly the rice is good! not too clumpy and way better than cheaper sushi places 😄

Crab And Crab Miso Gukan I love this alot. I miss the taste of the crab miso paste. It's yummy. I gotta admit, the crab meat isn't that fresh but I really love the taste of miso crab paste. Do give it a try.

Prawn Mayo The prawns are pretty crunchy and price is affordable. It used to be really value for money. The taste is still good but portions have shrunk.

This 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐋É 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐀𝐊𝐄 ($𝟏𝟐.𝟗𝟎) was gone too quickly😩 They really nailed the cloud-like texture. It was slightly eggy and decorated with lots of white peaches (there’s another huge half inside🍑🍑), fresh cream, walnuts, caramel and cinnamon (which made this 🥞 smell extra good)!

Okonomiyaki-style Tako Dashimaki Tamago ($10.90) This dish is an attempt to reinvent takoyaki by replacing the traditional batter with a sweet egg omelette. It was pretty tasty, with big pieces of octopus. The mayonnaise and okonomiyaki sauce were great accompaniments too. Do take note that there is a significant amount of pickled ginger used in the filling, which has a strong flavour and may not be for everyone.

5-Kind Dashimaki Tamago Skewers ($9.50) Essentially 5 of the same tamagoyaki but with different toppings. While the tamagoyaki itself is pretty tasty with a nice amount of sweetness, the toppings - tomato, seaweed, salmon, mentai mayo, zuwaigani (snow crab) did not do much to enhance the flavour. Perhaps the most flavourful one would be the tomato one, which was essentially a dollop of tomato ketchup. Fans of spice however, may enjoy the spicy seaweed paste, which has a decent amount of heat. Definitely a dish for sharing as it can get very cloying due to the amount of eggs used.

Mega Lunch Specials I love monster curry for their lunch specials. This pic consist of a large piece of chicken cutlet, rice curry, a side of soup, a drink and a scoop of Ben and Jerry ice cream at just $13.80 Mon to Fri. I topped up another $3 for the omelette toppings. Without it, the food is still delicious and so tummy filling. Do get it.

Ebi Omelette Curry Set Price was about $16++ The portion was very filling, but the curry came slightly cold and the level 2 not as spicy as I remember it in other Monster Curry outlets.
