Iman Bakery Kluang

We stumbled upon this cake online and were intrigued by its appealing appearance, prompting us to make a trip to taste it for ourselves. The cake, featuring a beautifully melted cheese topping, offers various flavours and decorations to choose from. Opting for the Pandan Cheese flavour, we eagerly dove into our selection. However, our experience didn't quite match our expectations.

While the cake was generously portioned and nicely presented with layers of cream and sponge cake, we encountered some challenges. Communication proved to be an issue as the staff didn't speak much English. Unsure of the proper procedure, we bought the cake and immediately attempted to eat it. The cake's solid state made it difficult to scoop, indicating that it might need some time to defrost before consumption.

Once we managed to take a bite, we found the hardened cream to be dense, greasy, and somewhat overwhelming, while the pandan-flavoured sponge cake tasted rather ordinary. Additionally, there was a lingering stale fridge taste, suggesting that the cake might have been sitting for a while. However, the grated cheese topping did contribute some flavour.

Reflecting on our experience, we couldn't help but wonder if we chose the wrong flavour or if the cake simply didn't suit our palates.
