Welcomed by their friendly staff. Big chunks of the rock lobster meat. Cozy place to slack and eat. Easy parking for both car and motorcycle.

AFTERWIT, a new cafe sibling of Working Title just opened its doors today in the neighborhood of Kampong Glam at 778 North Bridge Road. Serving a light menu of gourmet salads & wraps, snacks, pizzas, all day brunch and desserts using ingredients that are halal certified.

What aroused my curiosity was their periodic table menu, featuring a tabular arrangement of beverages organized in the basis of name and symbol. For instance, the flat white I'm having is FW falls under Group 2 x Period 4. It may take you some time to look at the beverage menu or pick your choice of drink, but I thought it was creative and left me with an impression.

Probably one of the best steak you can get at non-wagyu beef prices. It may be pricy but its well worth the dough. Recommended to get with beef meatball tapas and brown sauce. Best of all its os halal (no pork no lard muslim chef halal supplier)

Simple cafe at east village..
Price is good! Spent $67 for 4 main course and 4 sodas.
Must try the ribs of lamb for just $20! And i like the vanilla cream soda... Its self service and they are very efficient! #burpple #InstaSquarer
4/5! Woot woot!

Burppler Amalina highly recommends this fairly new Halal cafe! She says "This is banoffee pavlova with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is awesome, the pavlova simply melts in your mouth. There are other desserts as well, such as cupcakes and tarts. All are worth trying, I promise! Highly recommended!"

The term "hipster" might be a wee bit overused by now but ROUSE actually does check all the boxes for being a hipster cafe, complete with "brick" floors. This Muslim-owned spot makes good coffee with their house blend, specially roasted by Dutch Colony Coffee Roasters. The menu is rather interesting as well - think curry crab burger with sweet potato fries, beef-wrapped asparagus with pumpkin mash, and smoked salmon with poached eggs and a quinoa patty. It's a lovely space to chill at, even if you're just looking for a quick pick-me-up.

Dahlia Cafe, a humble stall, "commands a queue during lunchtime because people love it for the lip-smackingly good rice and noodle dishes that are cooked only upon order", says Tastemaker Veronica Phua. Expect simple dishes like nasi goreng kampong and nasi ayam. This place is great if you want unpretentious comfort food to fill your tummy, fast. A little sinful perhaps, but sometimes nothing hits the spot quite like a plate of greasy, spicy, slightly sweet macaroni goreng.

Studio Cafe SG is a new addition to Toa Payoh's buzzing food scene. Alongside local dishes like nasi goreng and nasi ayam penyet, expect western dishes like sirloin steak, pasta and even mussels. The food here is reasonably priced and there is no GST or service charge, so if you're looking for good food without breaking the bank, give this place a try!
