Always end up coming back for group celebrations because the food is fantastic and comforting! Definitely recommend the porchetta, pizzas and tiramisu. Braised beef and pork chop was also soft and tender. Might want to skip the pastas, haven’t had a good one yet.

Jerk chicken skewers had a good spicy kick but the Star was the fish tacos! Also the cocktails were fantastic and delicious. Really enjoyed the meal and flavours, highly recommend it!

If you love matcha, you’ve probably already tried Hvala. I usually have their matcha drinks and ice cream but this fudgy brownie-salted caramel-matcha ice cream combination was absolutely delicious with that sweet & salty umami taste elevated by the slight bitter aftertaste of matcha. 10/10 would recommend!

This is my go-to on days I’m looking for fresh sashimi at affordable prices, their seasonal items are also worth a try. The sake is reasonably priced and worth getting a bottle to share.

After reading reviews and recommendations, there was a certain level of expectations about the quality of food given the higher price point. Unfortunately, dinner severely failed to impress. We had the $138 Omakase and $68 beef set and while the food wasn’t bad, it was mediocre at best, and definitely not worth the price tag - I’ve had much better at lower prices. Almost all of the Omakase dishes were heavily doused in truffle oil (prob to explain the price tag) and I may be wrong but the crab dish didn’t taste like it was even made of real crab meat. Service was also lacklustre as the wait staff couldn’t tell us the difference between the $100 and $138 Omakase menu and served dishes without telling us which set it belonged to. It might have been the weekend and therefore a slower crowd but what was supposed to be a treat was really a disappointment.
