Very nice flavour with the perfect amount of froth and honey on the side (9/10).
Steamed then fried dumplings with a filling of fresh shiitake mushrooms, tofu, water chestnuts, ginger, garlic, spring onions, coriander, soya sauce, sesame oil, white pepper and broth. Happy with how they turned out, but next time I'll chop all by hand instead of using the food processor for more texture (7/10).
Swiss button &oyster mushrooms fried w/ broccoli, chilli, garlic and chopped almonds. Served with pasta and shaves of Parmesan, hit the spot (7/10).
Absolutely devine! Super creamy smooth texture with the right amount of burnt sugar flavour. Only thing that could have been better was the size of the praline, could have been less chunky (10/10).
Tortilla bread w/ refried kidney beans, spinach, onion & mushroom, served w/ rice, topped w/ melted cheese, chilli, sour cream & guacamole. There was also corn chips on the plate. Generous portion and very tasty. Couldn't find any mushrooms though (8/10). Definitely want to go back and try other stuff on the menu.
Fresh lemon juice infused w/ ginger. Super refreshing w/ an intense ginger taste. Alcohol free and very tasty (9/10).
Poached eggs on sourdough w/ homemade butter and leek & cheddar croquettes. Everything was ok but quite boring, would have wanted the croquettes to be more cheesy. Menu was pretty limited, specially for vegetarians (4/10).
Really nice chai, robust in taste but slightly on the sweet side (8.5/10).
Three different types of taco thingies and a cactus salad. Two of them had a mix of mushroom, bean and cheese and were pretty similar in taste. The third one was like a closed round pocket filled with a thin layer of beans and ricotta. The cactus salad was a nice complement with its tangy flavour and fresh coriander. The tacos just feel a bit 'unsatisfying' in flavours and contents, but still appreciate that they differ from the normal tacos (5/10). Also they might be nicer on a warmer night.
Home made onion soup. Very easy to make and quite tasty although a bit salty. For next time I'll cut the onions more fine and be more cautious with the broth (6/10).
Sake, cranberry and grape fruit juice. Very citrusy and fresh but a bit sweet (6/10).
