Best tasting ice cream The photo do no justice to the taste! We ordered a large cone at $13 which comes with 4 big scoops. We chose the tiramisu, pistachio, strawberry and the new flavour that has tangerine + passionfruit. Every flavour had its own burst 💥 and we enjoyed the ice cream thoroughly. Adding in how good the cone was too. 10/10!

Venchi 4⭐ If not the Entertainer 1 for 1 deal, Venchi ice cream is relatively expensive. To make full use of the deal, we ordered 3 scoops of ice cream. The flavours we chose are Tiramisu, Dark Chocolate & Hazelnut. The price does not differ on choosing a cup or cone. a little odd we got the iced avo latte (regular) and mocha (upsized), total paid was $6.3 so it was gr8! the mocha tasted like straight coffee and the avo latte was extremely sweet towards the end so remember to stir/swirl it around to get the chocolate flavour of the mocha (no straws so) the mocha was pretty normal but the avo latte was unexpected?? it didnt have that creamy or richness i was expecting it was just avocado syrup in a latte, but the syrup doesnt taste like avocado it tasted flowery (u know in mala those bamboo shoots they use) yea thank you the end overall flash coffee is good i suggest trying other flavours ;) staff is friendly too always a huge plus

Margherita Pizza ($18) Pretty standard, neither good nor bad. Smattering of burrata lent a slight creaminess, and the sun-dried tomatoes gave some umami. Good to share as I slowly became bored of this after a few slices.

Heaven is a place on Katong with a whole wall lined with beer True to its name, be wowed by their (very, very big) basket of beers - an extensive variety adorn the many fridges lined up by the entrance, enticing you to pick one (or more) out on the way to the register. Go wild! Food wise, the Truffle Mushroom pizza ($23) and Fiery Crab and Shrimp Aglio Olio ($22) were decent. I quite liked the truffle bachamel base of the pizza, though reminiscent of the cream-based sauce of a certain pizza chain. Pasta was undercooked, tragically, but the olive oil base was quite addictive so, meh, whatever. tldr; come for the happy hour and the chill vibes!

Fiery Crab and Shrimp Aglio Olio | $22 Decent but nothing mind-blowing, especially because it was on the blander side. Though called fiery, it was not spicy at all either, so this really fell short of expectations. Without Burpple this pasta would not have been worth it. Nonetheless, Beer Basket remains a great place for beers — literally any kind of beers you want with craft beers on tap, a huge range of canned craft beers (both local and international), as well as wines. A good place to chill with their numerous drink options! Rate:🌟🌟

Chicken ala Carbonara Diced chicken cooked in creamy parmesan sauce. Pasta was al dente and chicken was juicy. Overal taste good, suitable for kids too. Do take note that portion is quite big.

Squid Ink Pasta Squid ink curry pasta looks decent but delicious! May not see any chilli but it is very spicy. Nevertheless you can still taste the squid ink eventhough it is spicy. Damn good, highly recommended. Quite big portion.

Oven Baked Bone Marrow Bone marrow topped with caviar and garlic bread by the side. First time trying the caviar was a little salty. But great combination of eating the garlic bread with bone marrow.

salmon mentaiko & pork belly grain bowls food and drinks were extraordinarily mediocre, but the long service time added to the overall frustrating experience. they're closing at the end of june due to manpower issues, which is apparent in their long wait time (30min for each item). in conclusion, not a store i would recommend.

Ice Cream And Waffle ($11) It was a rainy Friday evening and there was no one when we entered the shop. Very quiet place with nice piped in music. Ordered the premium ice cream - blue pea vanilla and roasted pistachio using 1-1 ($5.10 after discount). Added in a waffle at $5.90. Total payable was $11. The ice cream was a disappointment as it was very bland. The saving grace was the green waffles. They were warm and crispy. To get the crowd going, they need to improve on their ice cream ingredients. It’s a pity that they open till 2am yet are not able to draw in the crowd like other ice cream parlours. The dessert shop two doors away seem to be more vibrant with customers. Was initially excited about this new ice cream waffle late-closing joint in the East, unfortunately the OMO aunty serving us was not able to recommend or market their ice cream too. Thumbs up for waffles though!

Ume (purple), Red velvet (pink) 📍: Bedok . finally being able to go out for spontaneous ice cream supper with the fam after PH2A 🙌 found this newly opened cafe on burpple and decided to give it a try. overall, the waffles were not bad - crispy on the outside and flavourful on the inside. i personally found the ice cream a bit too sweet for me, and like what others have said i think the flavours could be brought out more! price wise: we paid $15.40 for 2 double scooped ice cream + waffle combis (after 1-1). anw i liked that the cafe wasn’t crowded so it’s still a great chill spot 🙂 —— OVERALL: 3.25/5

Ah Bao Braised Stew 🍲 Ah Bao Braised Stew ($7.80) (7/10) Comes with an assortment of ingredients like rice cake, meat balls, mushroom, quail eggs and more. The serving size is a bit smaller but its still worth it given the variety of ingredients you get. I personally still prefer regular braised pork rice, but stew lovers should try this.

The Co-Op Ordered the truffle fries, Caesar salad and smoked duck carbonara. We loved the truffle fries - the truffle taste was very pronounced but the fries were slightly oily and greasy. Caesar salad was good but croutons were a little stale.

One Of The Better Burgers Out There! Haven't had a good burger in a long while, and I'm glad I had this. The Wagyu Burger ($25.90) had a soft patty that is nicely charred on its edges, with a good mild cheddar cheese that is melted into the patty. The truffle aioli, combined with the caramelised onions really added a new dimension to the burger, with the umami coming through strong. The fries were amazing too even after its cold!! No regrets having this sinful meal at all 😂

Not Very Cheap But Worth The Price I've ordered the wagyu burger and fish and chips using the 1 for 1 beyond deal. #burpplebeyond The fish was pretty decent however it was abit overcooked for me and thus abit flakey . The batter was light and crispy. The fries were exceptional good!!! It was well-seasoned, crispy and light! To me it was the star of the dish :)) For the wagyu burger, fries were exceptional! (Same fries as the fish n chips). However, the star of this meal was the burger. The flavour depth on this burger simply stunning! The patty was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and packed with lots of flavour. The caramelized onions and cheeze really adds on thr flavour to the burger. Topped with the light and toasted brioche buns, it's one of thr best burgers I've ever eaten. If you guys are a fan of burgers, you NEED to try this. All in all, it was a good deal by burpple. I'd definitely come back a second time to grab the burger again ;))

Coolest edible cocktails Capitol isn’t just a place to eat and drink—it’s a whole vibe. The fusion cocktails are super creative, with concepts I’ve honestly never seen anywhere else. I had the Summer Fling, which was wild—in the best way. It starts off as an “edible” icy cocktail and slowly melts into a drinkable one. The textures were really fun, and the taste was light, refreshing, and just right. It’s inspired by a Taiwanese iced jelly dessert, and it totally nails that cool, nostalgic feel. Plus, the dry ice smoke and plating made it look amazing. Service was great too—our waiter explained the menu really well, especially all the unique cocktails (which made it even harder to pick just one). Definitely coming back to try more. If you’re into fun, out-of-the-box drinks and a full-on dining experience, this place is a must.

Dinner at Hopscotch 🍝🍽️ I had an amazing dining experience here! Both the mains and cocktail menus were incredibly extensive —we were truly spoiled for choice. The cocktail selection, in particular, stood out with its creative and unique themes. My friend and I decided to go for the 'edible cocktails,' which were as delightful in flavor as they were visually stunning. For mains, we opted for the truffle linguine and the black garlic ribeye steak. The truffle linguine was rich and perfectly balanced, with the earthy aroma of truffle and generous portion of bonito flakes elevating every bite. The black garlic ribeye steak was incredibly tender and packed with umami flavor, complemented by mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We really enjoyed both dishes, and the portion sizes were impressively generous - definitely great value for money! If you're looking for a dinner spot with good food, creative drinks, and a convenient location at a reasonable price, I'd highly recommend Hopscotch!! :)
