And when in #poulet , the thing that you must must must eat: poulét roti! It's half a roast chicken served with a cream sauce and mushrooms. The roast chicken was really good! Flavorful with a touch of sweetness (but not so much that it overpowers the saltiness and the taste of the chicken), and the chicken meat was moist <3 Yums!! My only complaint is that it got kind of sick of it toward the end of the meal because it was just too rich and too much of just one flavor... Maybe if they had some carbo to go with it like mash potatoes? Finally got the chance last week to try #putien ^^ it was really good! I'll definitely eat at putien again next time!! Here's the 蒜泥白肉, which is a cold dish made up of pork belly meat, cucumber and a fragrant and salty garlic sauce. My fav~~

Also from #putien was this dish that I have never seen before! A yam paste was wrapped around a piece of duck meat and fried. It sounds weird but it was so good! This, my friends, is chee cheong fan, but not the Hong Kong style with the light soya sauce. Nope! This is a hearty version with lots and lots of thick sweet sauce over the springy rice rolls, and lots of other add-ons such as fish cake and meat rolls that are boiled and added in (a little like yong tau foo).
