Never fails me. The prefer Nasi Lemak for me at Changi. Cracked the stallholder up this time round by singing along to her version of Semoga Bahagia.

Recommended as an alternative to Nancy's Kitchen's queues. The Tok Panjang set did deliver a huge variety and sufficient quantity (Set for 10 feeding 14 folks. I felt the overall dinner was rather bland on the palate. Stick to Makko or Nancy's if you prefer a stronger twang to your food

Delightful evening. Probably a lucky day as the various omakase serves seemed to be really value for money that night

Starting a long drive on Great Ocean Road. No other way than to use this homely cafe as a start point. Mini green-house-like organic cafe. Beyond this waffle breakfast, you must try the home-made banana and walnut bread.

Look, if you only have time for 1 meal here, you should not even have to think. Piled with loads of duck meat (deboned), this is really good. Not cheap for local standards as you pay RP50,000 for a bowl

Another grill and fried shop honing Indonesian cuisine. The grilled chicken looked so good that I forgot a picture again :( and boy, it really tasted good. Juicy, grilled over fire and drenched with kicap manis. Im realising that the chilli here in Surabaya is seriously good stuff

If you had thought our imported version at Lucky Plaza was good, try Bu Kris. Local chicken (means normal sized, not the hormone induced overgrown ones we are used to) with some of the best chilli (cabe) I have had. Very spicy. They whip up a mean gurame (Grilled/Fried) and serve other good local dishes too. The tempeh was extremely fresh unlike the ones we get in SG where there is sometimes a slight soury taste.

Local betawi cuisine. Try the asingan (hope i spelt it right) and the sate. Good comfortable introduction to the betawi cuisine in this franchise cafe found all around Jakarta

Try the fish head and the ikan bakar. Nice little enclave with authentic local food
