Yummy. The outdoor ambience makes it a mini Bali in North Jakarta. You can have the crispy fried version or the grilled versions. Depends on your preference

Looked so good I could help but take a bite without realising a picture had yet to be taken. Gem of a discovery, only when I arrived and did a quick search did I realise how many reviews have been done on this place and I have missed out the last 50-60days of its existence. Good Fish. Good Chips. What else can you ask for from a Fish & Chips shop? For $16 bucks? Bang for the buck. Ohh... And The alcoholic me bumped into the 2for1 Stella promotion. Which means i had 2 beers for $9. Yumz x 999

Good roast duck version, good enough for me to imagine its roast goose from 深井. Maybe 12months no HK has made me missed it too much... Char Siew is above average, not melt-in-your mouth but much better than local variant. Pop in if you cant queue for the white beehoon. It's just opposite...

300day grass fed sirloin, kingfish sashimi and dessert w coffee. Not too bad a deal for a $80++ set lunch given the view and if want to make small impressions

V unwilling a revealing a well-kept secret. This gem of a place tastes exactly like HaiDiLao for a reason. The folks were ex employees of HDL. Except the fact that due to their smaller scale, they are unable to provide the same variety of seafood and flashy noodle making, the rest of the food tastes just exactly like the original with a 30% discount and no 2hrs queue. Come quickly before the queue forms. People are going to find out soon.... (Edit) Went back this week and realised they have the handpulled noodles now. He looks skillful

Good stuff :) the poulet roti was nicely done too. Good meals for sharing w family and friends

Had lunch here again, making it a second day in a row. No noodles for me this time. Instead, I chose to have plain rice with my order of "Pork Leg". And I got to say, I liked it even better because of all the extra stuff that came along. There was half a hardboiled egg, some "kiam chye", a bowl of soup and a kickass chilli sauce that had my brow beading up with sweat in seconds!

100% fullblood wagyu (600 day grain fed) with straight cut fries. $26. Absolute value.

Signature Bak Chor Dry Mee Sua - extra chilli + extra black vinegar... yumms. I love it with lots of chopped spring onion ❤️

Murphy's, an established brand from England that's been frying up fish and chips since 1967, has just opened its first Singapore outlet in Ang Mo Kio. The place here looks nothing like a greasy diner though. It's designed to be a stylish cafe complete with good coffee on the menu too.
The classic "Murphy's Fish and Chips" ($16 nett) uses arrowteeth fish fillet which has a nice flaky texture. At the soft opening today, I found the batter to be a little oily. But the soft spoken owner was very earnest in listening to feedback and said he'll work on improving it. I really like the authentic taste afforded by the malt vinegars specially imported from England (both original and onion flavours) which I splashed liberally over the fish and fat chips.
After my meal, I had the highly-recommended Mocha ($6). According to the barista, this full-bodied blend has a gentle acidity, the sweetness of milk chocolate and a lingering bittersweet finishing of cacao. My tastebuds operate on a simpler basis: they just found it marvelous.

The folks behind Chikuwa Tei and their new joint. The chirashi don looks familiar doesnt it? [Edit] I am terribly offended by a bunch of 5 friends/relatives who decided that this was a hawker centre and stood right at my table and gesturing to the staff that they want my table. I dont care who you are. That is outrightly rude. Why did your staff even allow them in to stand next to my table? Secondly, You guys missed my order and I had to examine the list to tell you which item yoy guys missed out, the appaling thing was that you were aware cos that replacement item was because you came back and informed me my original order wasnt available and offered an alternative. You only cleared my table after I stacked my plates and nobody came around to top up green tea until we asked. Yes, I like the Chirashi Don and this joint is 2weeks old but poor service is no excuse. Buck up.. If not even your chirashi don cant save you
