$13.90 for this delightful sukiyaki don. The beef is cooked on right on the spot for you and is heaped onto a bowl of rice and block of tofu to enjoy. Seating is a little tight in this place, and all seats are counter bar seats. I would recommend going at off peak hours!!

Tucked away near the carpark in Duxton, this place has an array of sweet and savoury soufflés for anyone who loves the light, puffy baked dish. Served piping hot, this beef stew (filled with chopped carrots, bits of bacon, and tender slow cooked beef) paired nicely with the soft, crisp texture of the soufflé.

Being an absolute sweet tooth, I could not resist ordering this delectable treat. A fair portion for $18, and was definitely worth trying. Soft chunks of apple smothered between toasted bread, topped off with drizzles of syrup. This french toast was a great start to the weekend.

Got this treat on the last few days Creamier was on Burpple Beyond. I visited the store at around 2pm and was relatively quiet. The thick, fluffy waffles are as good as I remembered when I used to eat it after school.

Price: $15

Is a meal ever complete if you don’t have dessert? This batch of waffles took a while but were freshly made upon order. Adorned with berry compote, dusted with powdered sugar and pistachios, this medley of flavours made it a delectable treat. I would definitely come back here!!

A clean salad for the weekend. For sure spent my moneys worth for a generous sprinkle of crab meat and fish roe. The egg was slightly over poached (if that is even a term), and didn’t have the egg porn ooze effect I desired. However this cute cafe had great vibes and it was perfect for a catchup with friends.

Heavenly whisked matcha tea at this quaint spot tucked in Tanjong Pagar Area. This outlet has the same zen vibes as the Hvala outlet at Chijmes, but quieter. A light bitterness with each sip, the Yuki Matcha Tea was a great start to the day.

It was my first time at Founder BKT, and I really enjoyed pairing my rice with the various sides using the special Burpple set. My group and I ordered extra sides of you tiao, which is heavenly when dipped in the pepper-y soup.

Popped by Rakki Bowl right after a gym session, and it was relatively crowded during lunch hour. You’ll smell the aroma of truffle in this cafe the moment you walk in, but I have no complaints! Considering I used the 1-for-1 Burpple Beyond deal, this meal was definitely a score. The proportions of this dish was just right, and was pretty full after.

My go to dish at Strong Flour. All their pasta is handmade and there’s always a deal on weekdays.
