We ordered the prawn noodle, ngoh hiang as well as 2 drinks. The prawn noodle was springy and the broth was flavourful. The prawns in the broth were fresh coupled with the pork slices and tender pork ribs. The ngoh hiang, on the other hand, was crispy and paired with the chilli sauce, it elevated the crispy and delicious ngoh hiang, highly recommend getting the platter to enjoy a variety of crispy and delicious ngoh hiang!

The Spicy Scallop Aglio was really fragrant and is not too spicy, the pan-seared Canadian scallops were really fresh and juicy, making a good combo with the bacon and linguine! Also, we had the pan-seared steak, the meat sauce was flavourful while the mashed potato and glazed vegetables added a nice touch to the dish! Highly recommend The Communal Place!

Highly recommend the “walk in the park” pork ribs! The ribs were tender and juicy, while the sauce is spicy and delicious! Also had the steak which came with two sides as well. The steak was flavourful and juicy! The service crew were nice and attentive to my needs as well, asking if I need any other things or even small actions of passing a chair for me to put my bag on it. In all, I had a really good experience in Meat N’Chill!

The restaurant is very near Botanic Gardens, around a 5 minutes walk from the MRT station. For the starters, I had the Toasted Sourdough Bread with the Fresh Italian Burrata Cheese, i really like the sourdough bread which was warm and fluffy, coupled with the Burrata Cheese that made it even tastier. For the mains, I had the 2GR Full-blood Wagyu MS 6/7 Denver (200g), Auskobe Wagyu MS 4/5 Deckle (250g) as well as two sides (Sauteed Thyme Mushroom Medley and Charred Broccolini). The meat was juicy, tender and flavourful, highly recommend it! For dessert, I had the Basque Burnt Cheesecake which is fluffy and sweet, pairing with the strawberries, passionfruit sauce and almond crumble that further elevate the taste.
