I always look forward to scraping off the crispy layer of rice crust at the bottom of the claypot and chewing on it.

𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞 ~ This bowl of noodles has won my taste buds over with its rich and sweet broth which is brimming with fragrant prawn flavour. I will definitely go back to Malaysia Chiak! to feast on this again.

𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐤 𝐊𝐮𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐡 ~ Klang is known for the herbal type of Bak Kut Teh, which has always been my preference. I really like Malaysia Chiak!'s rendition whereby the meaty pork ribs are simmered in a rich aromatic broth brewed with a complex mix of Chinese herbs and spices, as well as garlic. The soup is further enriched with an array of ingredients like pork belly, tau pok, bean curd skin etc.

I visited The Twisted Trio recently to try their signature Watermelon Rose Cake and I ended up being equally impressed with their beautiful 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞. Decked in a gorgeous shade of turquoise, this light and floral delight was a treat to my palate, all thanks to the lovely harmony of the tangy passionfruit cream and moist cake layers.

The Twisted Trio is definitely worth checking out, especially for those who prefer cakes that are not cloyingly sweet. The range of cakes and baked goods is impressive and the prices are reasonable too. If you are planning to visit The Twisted Trio, do note that seating is very limited (only 3 seats), so be prepared to enjoy their bakes as takeaway orders.
