Carbonara This Italian food stall interestingly gained really good ratings on Google, so decided to try it when I’m here for shows at Esplanade. Open in the late evening till night, they offer pasta, salad and fried dishes. I got their carbonara which is one of their signature items. It is a spaghetti with crispy turkey bacon and creamy white sauce. Topped with poached egg and grated parmesan. It tastes very creamy but not too overwhelming.

Carbonara $16 & Truffle Fries $8 The standard is pretty good for a hawker stall, as I enjoyed the creamy carbonara with the egg yolk on the top that’s adds a creamy mouthfeel, and the generous meat. The truffle fries were freshly fried and crispy when served, with a good amount of parmesan cheese and some truffle, worth the price for the huge portion.

Ice Cream Waffle (2 Scoops) ($19) My friend ordered pistachio (premium - $1) + vanilla with almond crumble (topping) she just wanted to avoid chocolate ice cream flavour that day :")

Hojicha ($6) The taste for hojicha was quite milky, creamy and not much roasted tea taste.

Yoghurt and Acai! They have expanded their menu offerings! Besides just selling their famous sticky yoghurt, they have the collagen yoghurt, yoghurt softserve and also acai! Collagen Yogurt - Collagen Plus: Comes with black berries, mangoes, banana, watermelon, collagen jelly and strawberry sauce! Premium Acai - Raspberry Delight: Comes with mango, raspberry, kiwi , peanut crush and peanut butter! 1-for-1 Pastries We got the 65% and 75% brownie/lava cake. Both were.. a little smaller than expected - about 4.5cm by 4.5cm (used a ruler). Worth it with the Burpple but I doubt I'd get it without the 1For1 offer. For the brownie, it's warm, very sweet and chocolate is thick. It's a little fluffier than expected considering I expected brownies to be pretty solid. The lava cake is molten, not the flow-out-of-the-side kind. Consistency is smooth. There's a generous dusting of powder on top. They're both rich in chocolate. Fitting of the store name.

Traditional poh piah Soft poh piah skin wrap and tasty filling. It’s small like most poh piahs and worth it with Burpple 1-for-1 deal. 👍

Tomato basil soup This soup is very tasty and tangy! Love it!

Rigatoni and risotto Tried their signature rigatoni and mushroom risotto. Portions are small and the taste isn’t great. Food was tad salty too. For the price, would say it’s pretty pricey too. But service was good.

Smoked Beef Cheek Ragu ($28)

Signature Rigatoni ($30) consisted of aged brandy cream (sauce) cooked inside, pancetta (salt-cured pork belly meat), mushroom, egg yolk and topped with parmigiano reggiano (cheese). I felt that it's such an atas and great experience for myself and my friend to dine in for restaurant specially for pasta. I did redeemed with burpple 1 for 1 pasta menu. The pasta was not that hard or soft texture (al dente). I did broke egg yolk off and mixed well with the rest of ingredients. After mixing well together, my first few tries were got that strong wine taste initially but slowly got salty aftertaste bc probably of pancetta. I felt a bit jelak towards the end of the meal.

Expensive, not worth Charging $9 for this glass of Chamomile mojito is a travesty. The ice took up almost half the cup.

Herbal soup with braised pork rib ($13.90) Always come back for this comforting bowl of herbal creamy pork broth $8 nett per bowl after using burpple beyond! Really worth it considering how even food courts charge around this price nowadays.

Tomato Soup Braised Beef Noodle Tomato soup was sweet and savoury. The braised beef was also very flavourful. Noodles are on the softer side but still enjoyable. Worth with burpple 1 for 1

Tasty noodles Great 1-1 deal on all maibs. Sichuan vegetable base and Herbal bone broth is nice. Nice hearty and filling meal. Will come back! Staff was also nice to intro the menu and clarify my questions about Burrple Deal.

Classic yoghurt deal Got the one with matcha sauce and cookies. Was not a fan of the toppings - matcha sauce and cookies. My friend quote likes his toppings. The yoghurt base was decent - but still not as good as llao llao. But with the burpple deal it’s a pretty decent price point for healthier dessert!!
