Other than the aburi rolls, chirashi, sashimi, we also ordered some skewer dishes. Surprisingly good is the wagyu skewer and the pork cheek. Should explore abit more other than the usual orders.
Love the creativity of the chef that makes Peranakan food so interesting. The no menu dinner is always a surprise for diners. Everything is delicious including dessert! Worth the one Michelin star!
Dim sum buffet in a nicely decorated and renovated restaurant. Food was good especially the mapo tofu. They are so generous in their servings.
Always order the aglio olio with prawns. The price they charged at this branch is slightly more than their IP branch. But standard maintains and there are more seatings here.
It's a 2-month old restaurant and I have to say there are some hits and misses. I like the signature dish, slow cooked mangalica the most. The pork is unbelievably soft. It is also a healthy dish, I feel. The sashimi of yellowtail amberjack was also pretty good especially with colorful decoration on top. Service was also excellent.
While I always go sushi bar for my sashimi, chirashi fix but this one dish, salmon fin karaage is just too good! Very crispy and yet not dry, after one bite u still get to taste the fats of the salmon. Wonder how they did it!!
Love the roast beef sandwich and the delicious cookie that goes with it! Bread is soft and very well toasted. Portion is rather small, not enough for big eater!
Another nice coffee place in CBD. It was the second day of their operation and it was very crowded. Guess everyone wants to try out new coffee in CBD. Price is almost the same as Starbucks but they include GST. Coffee was good, almost comparable to Common Man Coffee. But sadly, not sure was it because they are new or they just don't serve skinny coffee. Pastries and pies do not look appetizing. Will be back for the coffee only.
This is probably the most photographed picture because it tasted as good as it looked. Overall, dinner at Odette had some hits and misses. If I have to pin point one of the dishes that the chef brought over from Jaan which was not well executed would be the pine smoked organic egg. The taste of the egg was not there because so many things were added in a bowl with the egg that somehow, I find that chef might have tried too hard to please. And to be fair, the roast pigeon was better than Jaan. Overall, the dinner course started light with lots of vegetables but in the end, it got heavier... I wish it could be more balanced. But nevertheless, it is worth a try!
Had a memorable dinner with my friends at Jaan. Service was impeccable and so were the food. No wonder it is one of the top 50 restaurants in Asia. The pigeon is one of the standard dishes in the degustation menu and I have to say it tasted good and certainly meet my expectations. Not only the presentation of the food look good, the food tasted good too. The chocolate dessert was simply unforgettable!
This is in the dessert menu but who says you can order have this for dessert? The pancakes are so fluffy and worth the wait!
This place brings back so many fond memories when I was a kid. It is a perfect place to chill and relax with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. Tried the rainbow cake, looks pretty and the taste was ok, not heavenly but ok. Just like tofu cheesecake. I liked the salted caramel cheesecake more, perhaps it's more sinful and taste more like a cheesecake.
