23Jumpin uses an exclusive roast of beans supplied by local roaster Kaans which is tailor-made for them. Their blend boasts a no-acidity flavour profile to suit the tastes of locals, and indeed there is zero traces of fruity accents, just nutty notes in its aftertaste along with the smooth and creamy cuppa.
They use Allpress Espresso blends here that has Brazilian and Sumatran beans here. Detected chocolatey notes in the medium-bodied cuppa here.
They use El Salvador beans for their coffee here, which gives their cuppa a deep chocolatey flavour that was earthy as well.
When I was here nearly a year ago, I skipped this for a Flat White. Who thought that the smooth Genovese coffee could taste so good with chocolate sauce and mint to send a dash refreshing coolness down the throat!
Holqa uses beans from Geisha Specialty Coffee, which has nutty notes aside from being creamy.
Two Bakers uses blends from Stranger's Reunion. Their cuppa was nutty and earthy with a medium body, which makes it comforting to sip in between desserts to kill off the sweetness.
Breakfast/lunch for champions. Was awarded "The Best Chicken Chop in Malaysia" back in 2013 and it didn't disappoint at all. I ordered the fried chicken with mushroom sauce with 2 eggs. Chicken was perfectly done, juicy and tender. The fried potatoes is not the typical fries or wedges.
Cost: RM17.90

The idea of combining an art class centre and a cafe, is ingenious. This is how Cups N Canvas has set itself apart from the hundreds of other cafes. If you think arts is the only thing they specialize in, you'd be pleasantly surprised with their delicious Blanc Bacon pasta, and fragrant Cafe Latte. Cups N Canvas seems to have it all. You can literally smell art in this cafe.
Located in the most obscure place ever, La Ristrettos can be found within the maze of private clinics at Novena Medical Centre. You are in for a treat, with one of the best coffees, and latte art around. The kick - the mobile reception here is really poor (hey, it's a good thing sometimes!). Rest assured, no one can disturb your escapism.
Common Man Coffee Roasters encompasses a cafe, coffee bar, and wholesale roasting arm, so you know you can trust them to always make you a great cup of coffee with stunning latte art. Besides the usual espresso based coffee, they will also be showcasing single origin coffee through filter brewing methods like the chemex and aeropress at Cafe Fest, which will definitely interest all you coffee fanatics!
Oz Specialty Coffee works hand in hand with Thailand's largest boutique coffee roaster, Pacamara, offering Pacamara's exceptional roasted coffee on a fixed basis. They sometimes feature other guest blends from time to time too. If the weather's too hot for a hot coffee, go for their bottled cold brew - it's much less acidic and is the perfect thirst quencher. If you have any questions about coffee, they'll be more than happy to answer them!
