Delicious Onsen Set rice $5.90, filled with mix vegetable, pumpkin and long bean tempura, cucumber, seaweed, rice seasoning of sesame mix and the soft onsen egg. Perfect meal to fill your tummy. Great pricing, worth every bite!
Fat portion, super thick and light like sponge cake but it's pancake! One of the best pancake I've eaten in Singapore but it was a bit too much for me so I gave the other half to my bf to finish it.
We felt cheated with them serving half a portion of chocolate tart. Why do they do that? It was nice overall and nutty but we felt disappointed that we weren't served a full tart. Makes it half a standard.
Seafood soup that didn't go as well as expected. It was served with a THICK LAYER OF OIL and the waitress claimed it was from the crab. Seriously bad. We returned it got a bowl of minestrone soup instead. This time, it turned out perfect in taste, except that the portion was so little.

Selected one of the seasonal signatures - Marukyu Special Chirashi Sushi (priced at $35+). The premier sashimi atop was fresh and imported from Japan. The miso soup and dessert (not featured) were just average. My verdict is that the set lunches are reasonably priced with the right portion of fresh fish, as compared to other Japanese restaurants. Might come back for the Omakase dinner one day.

One bowl with a puff pastry cover and fennel salad at the side (Did I ordered this???) Under the lip, there was a piece of perfectly cook cod with lantern pepper. The taste of the pepper overpowered the cod causing this dish to loose its focus. The place is tucked in a corner of the street that hardly anyone goes to but it's full house inside the cafe. We got there at midday without reservation and it was no problem at all. The variety of food is great and interesting, good portion and very tasty. We tried the recommended hit chocolate and marshmallow, ham and pork knuckle, eggs sur le plat. All good! What's awful about this place is that it's too noisy and it makes it un enjoyable to have a conversation. I ended up disliking the ambience 10 mins in. They have an outdoor dining area which is great and they switched the fans on too but there's no one utilizing the space and no waiters too. It's odd.
