Green Tea Waffles Used my Fave voucher to try out the gelato at this quaint little ice cream parlor nestled within several big brand food outlets. The waffles were a bit think and didn't have the bite that I was hoping for. The green tea ice cream however was strong enough for me to savour with every bite! I thought the ice cream was a little lacking (or maybe I just take too much ice cream with my waffle) but otherwise a decent place to come for a quick ice cream. It's much quieter than the nearby Starbucks too and provides a good place to chat in relative privacy, although the decor seems to be a little dull.

Respite From Shopping Gelato wasn't impressive - it felt a bit sticky and the flavours were mostly misses. To be safe, get the black sesame! The waffles on the other hand, were superb. Crisp, fluffy and eggy, I could eat them on their own. The single scoop of gelato was very generous! $8.90 with the waffle, very worth it. Great respite from shopping at NEX!

Fondant Chocolate Not a lot of places dare to serve such thick chocolate ice-cream for it's an acquired taste, but I am glad they did. This is pure heaven for chocolate lovers; a jet black pile of mess in a cup that sends you to chocolatey bliss for how thick and rich it is. So smooth and even gooey, the flavours go deeply bittersweet with this one. Some say that it's not good to commit sins in life, but for this I would, wholeheartedly.

Under The Radar Bingsu Surprisingly good Bingsu from this less known Korean desserts cafe. Relatively cheaper, but their quality and taste was as good as other places like Nunsongyee, Oma Spoon. Loved the mashy red bean (they were generous with their ingredients too!). Will be back to try other items on the menu.

First take-away concept with Bingsu in a cup, Eclipse Bingsu & Coffee customized their version so that the cup design is different from the typical plastic cup. Ordered the Mango Yogurt Bingsu (Regular – $8.90; Large – $14.90) with milk flakes, condensed milk, yogurt, mango cubes and cream. Texture of ice was perfectly fine and smooth, and the proportion of mango cubes to ice was well balanced. Most importantly, the fresh mango cubes were sweet and not sour at all! However, the yogurt taste seems insignificant to make a difference from the usual bingsu. Find out more from my profile!

Today's lunch affair at the newly opened @cafe_eclipse opposite our workplace! Was attracted by the super worth it lunch deal - 1 main, soup of the day, drink and a huge bingsu for only $13.80! 😍😍 #burpple However, lots of kinks during the service as it is their first week of opening.. but luckily the food was pretty worth it. Would most likely return again once everything is sorted out at a later date. Just happy we finally have more cafes to go #cafehopping at near the workplace! 😂😂 #cafehoppingsg

Banana Split Baby Dutch Pancakes ($6 for 10) Dropped by EATBOX last week to check the food festival out! I had Cake Love’s Banana Split Baby Dutch Pancakes, which consisted of 10 mini pancakes, some thinly sliced bananas, a dollop of whipped cream, brown syrup and powdered sugar. This is decadence right there, but I’m not complaining since it is carnival food, and everyone knows it’s made for the purpose of indulging. (7.1/10) 😍😂

Rainbow Cheesecake! A legit tasting cheesecake! Not too dense or too light, and it's so pretty too! Rainbow colours. At this Halal, cafe across from the Lab SG And next to Fluff bakery is this cosy Cake Love, with free wifi, beautiful cakes and a nett prices menu, it's a great place to chill out!

Cake Love The desserts actually taste much better than they look!! My friends and I shared churros, Creme brulee and deconstructed tiramisu for less than $25. I'd rate the desserts a 3.5/5 :)

Crispy Skin Salmon $17 Loveeee this. Returned to this cafe cose of this dish. Enough cream base soup with salmon and the salmon skin remain crispy!! They had baby potatoes too

The Carnivore $28 I took all meat platter which comes with chicken and lamb slices. Black pepper sauce was nice for this. Pricey but good. Dono if it’s worth it but it was nice haha it comes along with boiled broccoli, bacon, fries and sunny side up egg.

Goodnight sweet prince The beloved dessert bar will be closing this Sunday after years of ingenuity, with their local dishes-inspired desserts being particularly memorable. - Their creations have an uncanny familiarity to them, like this Nasi Lemak ($14.90) which found the right blend of sweetness and savouriness as well as familiar textures, which worked in the context of a dessert. Particularly loved the coconut "rice", which hid a mother lode of pandan mousse — intoxicatingly fragrant.

Lava Molten Cake Chocolate Lava Cake (~$13.90) took awhile to be served, but when it came, I was so eager to eat it 😛 (hence the mediocre photos). Upon slicing the thick dark chocolate cake, warm chocolate fudge flowed nicely to coat the vanilla ice cream below 🍰 Vanilla ice cream was orange infused, which went well with the chocolate, especially since the orange taste was quite obvious 🍦 . Crumbles and Almond Nougat did a good job in adding texture to this lava dessert especially since the cake and the ice cream was soft 🤩 However thought the ice cream could be more bc the cake was quite overwhelming! Nasi Lemak ($14.90) Their version of Nasi Lemak really amazed me by the impeccable presentation and how they managed to recreate the flavours of nasi lemak in dessert form. The most amazing element is their sambal jam, which tasted like the real flavours of sambal! Just a heads up, give them one last try if you like as they’ll be closing before the end of the month!

Common Man Fluffy Pancakes ($24) Common Man Fluffy Pancakes ($24) I was honestly really excited for the pancakes, considering these were thick! The pancakes came with caramelised bananas and walnuts, salted caramel sauce, nutty crumble & berry coulis. Ngl this didn't taste like a pancake, but more like a cakey texture, which was dense and slightly dry esp at parts without the sauce. It also got jelak so you gotta share this. Kinda expected more for the price, and I'd defo prefer some fluffy pancakes for brunch! Their other dishes might be better tho! Overall Rating: 6/10

Croissant Croque Monsieur ($18) It was extremely crowded during brunch on weekends, but since it was near the area we decided to give their food a try. Croissant Croque Monsieur ($18) Look at that cheese! This croissant was filled with Ham, Bechamel & aged cheddar cheese. Certainly a hearty option for brunch, and it's a combination of flavours and texture that can't really go wrong. The portion might not be enough for some though!

Nitro Honey Oat Latte So good … words cannot describe how elevated this coffee is

Mango coco 13.4++ add on almond thins +1.9++ THEY ARE CLOSING THIS WEEK The waffles were decent. Mango was way too sour. Coconut ice cream sucks, it's way too cold and lacks flavour Almond thins were brilliant. Super aromatic from the nuts, with a really satisfying crunch. Not sure what the translucent parts are but hey if it's this good I'm not complaining The queue is insane nowadays so please come with a reservation

red velvet cheesecake waffles ($11.50) as usual, the soft serve was rich in sightly salty cheese flavour!! the little cubes of red velvet cake topped w lemon custard were also a nice topping. would always recommend sunday folks for ice cream, but a little stingy with their waffles, can skip and get cones/cups instead

Affordable dishes! there are so many cafes in this area i have to check all of them out soon oh my! anyway, i had the Beef Bolognese ($12.90) + Soup & Drink Set ($4.90) (Cream of Tomato & Mango Fizz) for dinner. the taste of capsicum and red peppers was really strong. not the best pasta, but i guess for this price, it was alright. the cream of tomato was not bad, it had a taste of sour cream which i liked. the cheesy garlic bread at the side was something interesting, compared to the usual plain garlic bread. in this picture also included the Smoked Duck Aglio Olio ($14.90), Tom Yum Seafood Pasta ($14.90) [which is their recommended but i'd say it was alright, i could cook that at home myself] and the Chicken Chop ($13.90).

Spice Up My Pasta 😋 Tom Yum Seafood Pasta ($14.90) was both tangy and spicy. Juicy prawns and clams with that creamy tom yum sauce! I love how cafes go creative on their menu! 😊

Plain Ole Chocolate From Creamier Let’s indulge a plain ole chocolate ice cream cone and get blown away by its rich, dark, and smooth flavour. The texture is creamy and velvety, coating the taste buds with chocolatey goodness. The best part? It's only $4.90! What a steal for such high-quality handcrafted ice cream. Note: Contains dairy, so not suitable for those with dietary restrictions.

Butterscotch almond Buttery rich with a caramel flavour, enjoyed the roasted almond bits within which gave a fragrant nuttiness. [5.5/10]

Hokey pokey Vanilla base mixed with honeycomb crumbs coated with white chocolate adding a crunch though sweetness was rather overpowering, very creamy and melted quickly. [5/10]

Matcha Tarts We had a nice surprise when the tarts came. Instead of 1 huge tart, we had 5 mini bite sized tarts. The matcha was balanced well, not too sweet-just like how we liked it. The filling was warm and really nice. The flat white was pretty good too!:)

Foie Gras Don ($32) Pleasantly surprised by this beautiful floral arrangement on my Foie Gras Don 🌸 at @maisonikkoku! The Foie Gras was perfectly executed with a creamy centre and slightly crispy outer shell, blending well with the slightly savoury and mildly spicy sauce~ Oh so sinful, but so good! 😍💜💜💜 Only gripe is that the portion is a little small for $32, but I guess you're paying for art? 😝

Salted Caramel French Toast Dim lighting, bar-ish cafe (they actually do have a bar upstairs). Unsure whether it is temporary, but the opening time changed to 10 am. Service was okay, although it did took some time for the f&b to arrive Salted caramel French toast (22 sgd)-quite hefty of a price for a french toast. The type where it isnt custardy on its own and gets the creaminess from everything around it. Could have been better 3.5/5 Maison ikkoku latte (7 sgd)-im fine as long as it's not acidic, this one is good.
