The GJGJ here is always fresh and does not taste fishy at all. If youâre still afraid that itâll have the fishy smell and taste then try the spicy marinated one! The bossam, haemul jjeon & kimchi are my favorite! Craving for it all the time!
Soft creamy scrambled eggs with truffle crĂšme & briny popping ikura on crusty sourdough, a fancy touch to regular scrambled eggs made it 100/10! The other dishes and the coffee was really well prepared too!
Situated within CHIJMES is a cozy and minimalistic cafe. The bakes were good but the Smoked Duck Breast Focaccia was the one that stole the show, it was so yummy that I bought a second for takeaway! Coffee was good and the staff were all really friendly & engaging. Great place for an afternoon tea (coffee) break!
Ordered the Mala Soup Guo Qiao MiXian (Cross-Bridge MiXian) and it comes with almost all the ingredients available. I choose 1/10 spicy and it was the perfect hint of spicy if you usually eat ć°èŸŁ. The soup was flavourful and donât get tricked by it milky white colour, the spiciness is there! Itâs quite a huge bowl for 1 pax so I would suggest sharing between 2!
The Thai milk tea flavour came out strong but not over powering. And surprisingly it wasnât too sweet like the drink itself. The powder on the shaved ice isnât soy bean flour but it tasted kinda like biscuit crumbs..? Very very fine Marie biscuit powder. It went really well with the milky shave ice and also the ice cream on top was really good too! We also ordered the Kaya toast which sounded very normal but it was good too, especially the coconut ice cream on top.
Will definitely revisit and recommend to my family and friends! đđ»
This place have been so hyped about but at the same time there were many negative reviews about them on Burpple, complaining about long waiting time and cold hard waffle, but I still decided to try them out.
I ordered the customized Hojicha Soft-serve waffle [$9.90] , it comes with a waffle pieces that have been cut into smaller rectangular to form a smaller sized whole round waffle, a crispy thin circle of waffle cone for the hojicha soft-serve to sit on, dense and rich brownie cubes and a cookies ânâ cream pocky stick.
I waited probably less than 10mins for my waffle, it didnât come out hot and crispy but it was still warm, light and crispy unlike what others have been complaining about. The hojicha flavour was not too overpowering and it went well with the crispy waffle and rich brownie cubes. Will revisit and try the other combinations!
The carbonara pizza was so hearty and good! The crispy thin crust along with the béchamel and smoky crispy bacon was to die for!! It was hearty without being to heavy. Kinda sad that the egg in the middle was fully cooked if not we could have dipped the pizza in the creamy yolk.
The mushroom truffle risotto wasnât as amazing as it sounds, it tasted kinda like it was cooked in a Maggie soup base and it was a little pricy for its small portion.
Must order the pizza dough ball with the garlic butter!
If you love cheese then youâll love their Elsie, the cream cheese mouse tasted strongly of cheese unlike your usual mild cream cheese desserts, love the pair of the cream cheese with the white chocolate and desiccated coconut.
The Charlotte is a classic combination of strawberry & basil which was refreshing and not too overwhelming. Order two of their iced-tea and relaxed a little in the quiet little patisserie.
The coffee there was not bad but the food was the one that stole the spotlight. Ordered two of their âmust-tryâ mains, Fish Taco & Umami Pasta.
The Fish Taco was great! Crunchy taco shell with flaky deep fried fish accompanied with a sweet, savoury & slightly sour mango salsa, perfect combination! And the Umami Pasta, a harmony of flavours bursting in the mouth đ
Ordered the Okinawa & Sri Lanka coffee and both was good but didnât gave the wow factor.
Over-hyped and over-prices soufflé pancake. Yes, they look cute and fancy but taste wise was average.
Still prefer the regular American pancake over soufflé pancake as they tasted very eggy and flat. Even with the sauces and toppings, it still tasted very flat and one-dimensional.
Pretty little artisanal bonbons that are as delicious as it looks.
Flavours available varies from your typical fruits & nuts to local flavours such as Milo to Kaya Toast.
These intricate chocolates are made from bean to bar and are made locally in stores. The moment you enter the store, youâre greeted with a nutty aroma of chocolate. $30+ for a box of 9 is considered a steal.
Average desserts but thereâs many choice to chose from. The mango sago was good and the fresh fruit sago in milk with ice cream was not bad as well. The fruits were fresh and juicy. Both were not overly sweet and was still able to satisfy our sweet tooth.
On weekends, there will be a queue until their closing. But when I visited on a weekday night, there was only 3 tables including myself, so come on a weekday!
