Affordable bowl($3) of hand-torn mee hoon kuay, soup was delicious, with hints of ikan bilis and pork lard. The vegetable used was sweet potato leaf; an interesting twist! Prawn given was sweet and OMG the egg was cracked in at just the right moment: slightly flowy yolk-love the consistency! Pork used could have been less fatty. Nice meal for a rainy day💧But, I won't queue for 15 minutes though, not very worth the wait😂 Simple, nice meal though!
A bit pricey but very shiok after dinner in Singapore's crazy hot weather! Ordered blackball signature($6.50) with cold chinchow base-SHIOK SHIOK! There's taro balls-bouncy and chewy, sweet potato, red bean, (YUM YUM YUM) pearl, really refreshing dessert👍
Hand-pulled noodles in a wholesome, delicious pork broth that is so good I couldn't stop drinking it 😂 The onsen egg had the perfect runny yolk and the pork slices were thin (though I felt they were a bit fatty:P) I felt they could have given more vegetables(白菜) as I felt that there was too many pork slices. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl of noodles which is really value for money!
My mum ordered the signature rice bowl-foie gras was perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the beef was a lovely medium rare. Personally, I felt the bowl was a tad bit rich, but this is definitely a must for meat-lovers! The truffle sauce was minimal so it wasn't overpowering, and the runny yolk mixed really well with the rice as well! Yummy!
Really hearty bowl of pho for a really affordable price! Chunky pieces of chicken meat(except some pieces had skin; I just removed them) and flavourful chicken broth! Especially delicious on a cold night😊 Loved the greens consisiting of doumiao, basil leaves, and chilli padi, though I wish they gave more doumiao for veggie-eaters like me
