Already serving authentic Spanish fare at very fair prices, especially considering its prime Orchard Road location, Tapas Club racks up further value points for its super budget-friendly Tapas Set Lunch ($12.90). Available Mondays to Fridays from noon to 2pm, the set offers four tasty variants, with main options like chicken and seafood paella and squid ink noodles paella. Each main comes with a different side (the mushroom croquettes sound delish), tomato bread and a soft drink, which we highly encourage that you upgrade to a Sangria (additional $3) for a boozy lunch. According to Burpple Tastemaker Wei Zhi Chiang, the portion sizes are just right, which leaves you with just enough space to share the popular Churros Con Chocolat ($8) with a few friends. The freshly fried dough sticks arrive warm and sport a lovely golden crisp, and are best eaten dipped in the bittersweet chocolate sauce.
Avg Price: $15 per person

You cannot miss out on this signature "pouring salted egg yolk sauce ($1) over the ice cream" shot at Fat Cat! The smart people behind Fat Cat figured out that Singaporeans took a liking to salted egg in recent years and cleverly incorporated it into their offering! Pictured here is the charcoal waffle (their gourmet waffle priced at $6, normal waffles at $4.50) with earl grey lavender and thai milk tea ice cream ($4.50 per scoop for premium flavors). Fell in love with the waffles at first bite as it was crispy on the outside and remained extremely fluffy on the inside. The savory salted egg yolk really lifted the flavor of the entire waffle, which kept us wanting for more!! The salted caramel sauce makes a good plating but might be too much which overpowered the ice cream at times. It's good to go early (before dinner) as there are limited gourmet waffles everyday!

With no doubts, this is one of the hottest item that what Arbite is offering at their most recent revamped menu. This is definitely a sweet treat and gathering from all sorts of tastes and cravings. I kinda like it this way for having such unique combination that doesn't overdo it but you get what you want to satisfy your cravings.
The toppings of ingredient makes it so much better; matcha crumbs, almond flakes and also their fresh berries! I believe it will be a bonus if the liu sha texture could be served in molten instead of custard-ish texture 😉
Finally managed to snag a table after 30 minutes of waiting, and this heavenly creation didn't disappoint. The gula melaka soft-serve was too sweet after a couple of mouthfuls, but it did have that burnt caramel flavour that made it very fragrant. The pillowy waffles, crisp on the outside and comfortingly gooey inside, were just perfect, as were the chewy, half-melted cubes of toasted marshmallows.
I just love that earthy, mellow, and slightly savoury quality that roasted pistachios have, so that even though the soft serve is airily light, it packs so much robust flavour – definitely my favourite here so far (I've yet to try the highly raved Earl grey lavender). But while the fluffy cubes of Japanese cheesecake were well-done, I can't help being appalled that the cost of this addition works out to 50 cents per tiny cube (each is hardly bigger than a blueberry!).
Not just any ordinary pancakes, these are thick wads of batter stuffed with cinnamon and nuts, then shallow-fried so the exterior is golden-brown and lightly crispy while the inside remains soft and chewy. A dollop of sweet red bean paste and a generous smear of black sesame cream on the plate enhance the toastiness of the filling; chase every bite of the pancakes with a mouthful of the vanilla ice cream to balance out their warmth.
The cakes and tarts at this new patisserie are terribly expensive (about $7-9) for tiny slices, so @pigg0ink and I opted to try just one item, the Choux Creme. It turned out to be absolutely delightful, the mottled crust crispy and slightly flaky, its entire cavity filled with a velvety vanilla bean custard that might have been too dense, if not for the clever and unexpected incorporation of crunchy almond nougat bits. Wouldn't hesitate to get this again!
You can have your root beer and eat it too! Good flavour but felt the cake was a bit lumpy and stale... Didn't have the refreshing zest that the real drink packs! Give it a miss unless you're crazy over root beer.
One of my favourite ice cream parlour. Quality of ice cream is very good - rich and creamy, not icy tastes fresh. Roasted pistachio is heavenly - it's nutty and fragrant. Waffles are still crispy though they seem to have tweaked it such that it has more of the egg and bread taste. The place I go when I have waffles and ice cream craving!
The bread pudding inside the otherwise bland and dry toast was heavenly! Matcha purée just tasted sweet, perhaps overpowered by everything else. The Thai milk tea ice cream was a good dipping sauce for the toast, and you can drink the leftover melted ice cream from the cup when you're done! I would think it's quite pricey at $10.90.
Last but not least, dessert in the form of a granny cake filled with apples and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
